Earth:
- It isn't dark during the day
- Days have only 24 hours

Germany:
- German language instead of English
- No manga magazines like Jump
- No Heinz Relish in most supermarkets

Bremen:
- No Ramen restaurants
- Almost no public transport between 1 and 5 AM

Well, yeah. That's pretty much it. I guess it's not so bad here

Louisiana had David Duke in the 90s lol.

lol indeed. Thankfully we've gotten over that and now have an amazing leader in Bobby Jindal. Unfortunately, he'll be gone after this year, but at least we can look forward to 4-8 years of David Vitter. Yay!

Snow and steel mills. Basically. The air is really polluted around here because of the mills (to the point where when I was younger and my parents took me to visit my grandparents I actually thought it smelled weird where they lived ... because the air was clean.

Of course I also can't really complain about the mills because my boyfriend works at one and he makes good money. So I guess it is what it is. =(

Rhode Island:

-The state itself is irrelevant
-The weather.
-No big arena = no rock bands or crazy concert.
-No important baseball stadium.
-Nothing happens here.
-We're never included when people are talking about states

I live in Australia, and one of the most annoying things is when bogans start doing burn outs in your street at 3 AM scaring the shit out of you and leaving black marks everywhere.

Where I live, it's always fucking snowing. Doesn't matter when, or why. It will snow no matter what.
One day warm and nice, next day a blizzard. It's Canada's way of saying, "screw you"...

Florida:
Old people...everywhere! And it's not so much I don't like old people, but they are (can't put this nicely) in the way most of the time.
I hate the Ocean, I have lived here my whole life and have never liked the ocean. My hatred for the ocean has only grown over the years.

Sarasota:
Lots of people come here for Spring Break, they are a pain.

And..I will never leave.

I know people always think Hawaii's a paradise, but there are always downsides to living here:

-Everything's a little more expensive because it has to be shipped here. Subway's $5 footlong? It's $6 here.
-We're pretty much left out of everything unless something big happens.
-I think a lot of people in the mainland think Hawaii is a foreign country.
-If I go on a game show right now, odds are I'm going to get an all-expense paid trip back home.
-Stereotypes. God, the stereotypes about people who live here are a real pain.
-Homelessness. For some reason, other states think it's a good idea to send their homeless here. Seriously, look it up. The state government has to actively send homeless people back to the mainland.
-Want to go to a big concert? Too bad, your favorite singers and bands never come here. EVER.
-There is a parking problem every Pro Bowl.
-Living here costs an arm and a leg
-Mainland commercials for products not available in Hawaii.
-Honolulu is in the running for the worst traffic in the entire nation.

It's busy (that's both a good and bad thing)

Cost of living is high

You don't know most of your neighbours

Someone died and no one realised for 3 years. They only noticed when the landlord got the courts to evict her for having stopped paying her rent and they found a decomposed corpse. She had been 35.

Many streets and roads are not straight. They curve and bend back on themselves some shaped like J, U, S or a mix of all three. Trying to take a short cut using a street that starts of in the same direction of your destination could get you lost or far off course.

The weather likes to play trick on us, one day it could be sunny, rainy and even some hail or snow the go back to being sunny all within this one day.

Occasionally someone would commit suicide by jumping in front of a train and there'd be some angry people around who'd complain that they'll end up late for work/business.
