I havnt celebrated my birthday with others since i was about 10. Its so close to christmas so i dont usually tell people or ask them to go hang out with me since they should be with their families.

So for me, i dont really care. I just make sure to eat something good like ice cream or pizza that day.

I'd be understanding. People are busy. I don't expect them to remember something I hardly take seriously.

I share the same birthday with a friend who's the girlfriend of my best friend so nobody important forgets anyway.

I haven't celebrated my birthday legitimately in forever, and in fact, I never really have had a big birthday part since I was a child. I've told my friends when my birthday is and that is pretty much it. On my birthday, I don't do much, unless I go to another party because my birthday is New Years day. So I don't care if someone forgets my birthday. It's cool if you do but it doesn't matter if you don't.

Half the time other people have to remind me that it's my birthday. I always make sure I'm working on the day though when I do remember. I hate when people expect me to go out just because I've hit some magical day that doesn't matter.

Would feel upset... not because i think bdays are important, but because am a drama queen and very emotional. i may translate it as... "you don't care about me"

(but i think i've improved as i got older... don't really get emotional over petty things like this anymore lol...) that's why i always mutter to myself, sometimes the person you love the most is the person who hurts you the most... my emotions are complicated. and sometimes you're the one who hurts the one you love the most...

love is a double edged sword, imo.

I've forgotten my birthday a couple times. Not the date of my birthday, of course, but I find it easy to just lose track of what day it is, so there have been times that it rolled around, and when my family said happy birthday, my reaction was something like "Oh, it's my birthday already?"

I wouldn't be bothered if someone forgot my birthday. Hell, half my friends don't even know when my birthday is. I don't like being forced into an artificially jubilant mood, so I'm not one for holidays, and I avoid having anything to do with them when possible.

I tend not to realize dates, so I often don't even realize it's my birthday till my mom reminds me. Although, I also forget other peoples birthdays because of this and usually end up feeling bad.

This. Why can't I enjoy a random day more than a holiday? I do quite frequently. A day is just a day, and you can make many of them great regardless of the date.

I don't hate holidays and I'm not against celebrating people's birthdays. But days to be celebrated aren't set in stone. If you forget my birthday and birthdays are important to you, celebrate today with me.

And technically it's birth anniversary.
