I don't know why I would care. Other people aren't obliged to care about my business.

Honestly nobody besides my parents ever remembers my birthday. The year I turned 14, I even forgot my own birthday. I've learned from an early age to not expect too much, and it really surprises me and puts me in a good mood when someone does remember it, especially when it's someone I'm not super close with.

Er, I'd feel fine. I really wouldn't mind though.

I forgot my friend's birthday, he grumbled and ignored me for a whole year. So I try not to forget my friend's birthday.

I wouldn't mind if people don't remember my birthday. I want to stay young forever.

Birthdays mean nothing to me, so I don't care. I actually would prefer if it would go unnoticed. They're just another reason to get together with people, which I don't like doing anyway.

"I'm just another year closer to death" is what I feel about my birthday.

If they're just a friend I'd laugh because chances are I forgot theirs too and I wouldn't be insulted or anything but if it were a spouse or somebody like that I'd be fairly annoyed with them, but I wouldn't make a fuss over it.

I wouldn't care because I don't remember birthdays myself.

If they were in a serious relationship with me then I'd probably mind it, after all it's someone who should be sort of into you enough to remember it and at least bring it up. Just a friend not at all, or not so much, unless its my best friend (who does know mine and vice versa).

I have no problem with that seeing that I'm not crazy for birthday celebrations anymore. After all, I'm at a point where I don't need stuff like birthday presents or birthday parties, and quite frankly, my birthday is just another day for me. It's nothing extra special like it is for many others. To be honest, I absolutely hate having a summer birthday as it is in late June, and seeing that it happens when school is out that I'm used to it.

It hurt when i was younger, but im pretty eh about it now. But never forget your significant other's birthday, they will kill you. We ended up breaking up after that. She was crazy.

im at the point where i don't care about my birthday anymore. funny thing is last year i wasn't uncaring in an active way, but people still put a big deal. everyone but 2 people forgot the day of my bithday, the two people only remembered because they wrote it down. also i should point out that i work hard so people don't remember my birthday. so nothing.

if its a special occassion and its someone i care for, then i'd be beyound crushed

Can care less. Especially since I never tell anyone my birthday. And somehow someone manages to find out. High school days.

Of course if someone texts me "Happy birthday!" I'm going to reply with "Thanks" but usually in the process of typing that text, I'm just like "Ugh such a hassle to show this 'thankful' side." And in my family, we don't celebrate birthdays besides with "Wake up, it's your birthday, now go school."

I honestly don't expect people to remember my birthday since I'm the same, I don't remember anyone's except my family, and that's barely remembering.

I'm noticing a lot of people in this thread saying the same. I fall into this boat as well. Other people remind me it's my birthday. Once I thought a coworker was saying it was my special day because I got my annual performance review done on time for once. I thought it was weird until he specified it was my birthday he was talking about.

I don't expect people to care about something that I don't even care about anymore.
It's nice when they remember but for the most part, it doesn't affect me.
