I dont really care much about my brithday since its only a few days after my three old daughters birthday so im much happier just focusing on hers.
The only reason I ever do anything on mine is because my fiance will usually want to get something nice to eat or something

I was always kind of shy growing up so Birthday parties were more a terror to me than a good thing. It's why I always hoped people would forget my birthday. Over the years I've begun to forget my Birthday (and my age sometimes) as well; usually remembering it AFTER it's passed by . I try not to forget the Birthdays of anyone close to me though.

I would be really sad that my special someone would actually forget... I mean, I can handle it if the other people don't remember but not that special someone...

Luckily, my mom has a good memory.. as for my Dad, well we're 1 wk apart in terms of birthdays.. So I'm guessing he can't forget about my Birthday ^_^v hehe.

My birthday was last week, and the few people I was hoping to remember it didn't. Which bummed me out to say the least.

For just another hour... for just another day... for just another century...

I usually just shrug it off. Maybe it's because I'm older? I usually just have friends over and chill on my birthday. If I was younger, I'd probably give a reaction because I threw a big party.

It depends on how long I've known the person who forgot and what kind of relationship we have.

When my mother forgets my birthday I feel sad; my dad never forgot (may he rest in peace). When my brother forgets I get annoyed at him because it means he forgot his daughter's birthday too (she was born on my 13th birthday).

When my co-workers forget I'm happy because it means I don't have to put up with lame jokes, the unnecessary need to make a fuss about it, or their awful singing. When my friends forget I'm relieved because it means I won't get pinched or punched (one for each year damn them) or their god-awful singing.

Yeah...

I put a lot of effort into remembering birthdays because my family never really celebrated them growing up and felt like I missed out. I've thrown lots of surprise parties and whatnot for friends and family, but since my birthday is in December, close to Christmas, it is often forgotten. It's an expensive month so I try to be understanding about it.
