best way to start drawing manga / anime. is to just draw, even if u fail 10000 times. your just finding ways that don't work. so keep trying and you'll find the drawing style your good at :D
also watch tutorials on how to draw anime characters.. but start small. instead of watching a video on how to draw the whole character
watch a video on how to draw anime eyes, then heads, hair , bodies, boobs, muscles, maybe equipment like swords and headphones., watch boring videos on proportion and stuff.
hope this helped :D

As someone who is in to graphics at a professional level(architecture), here are a few tips.

-Like the above poster said, try, try, try, try, try, try until you get it the way you want, did I mention try?

-Who can say what is good or bad?The thing about anime and graphics is, their is no wrong or right. What some deem ugly, others may see uniqueness. Yes, sometimes stuff will look un pleasing to many, but if you practice enough and pay attention to detail, you can make an original quality style.

-If you don't care for the line work you can create with your hands, use a computer. I know that a certain stigma comes with computer generated stuff to some, but I think its nonsensical. The computer is just another tool and you can make some totally original stuff with it.

I'm interested in seeing some of your stuff!
