I tried to put the entire subject in description and title.
I was just wondering, does anyone else only enjoy some of them?

Personally I only like the first four and then it went all downhill from there.
My reason being that I think they went from spending a very brief part of each movie up until 5, setting up Voldemort and so forth, but when 5 was released it became all about Voldemort and the Death Eaters which to me changed the movies for the worse.

I didn't mind the grittier tone and darker approach to the world of Harry Potter, but it just became so long and drawn out.
The true magic (no pun intended) in this series is the school and the lore that revolves around it, turning it into a rather generic fight between good and evil is not my idea of entertaining or an improvement on what was otherwise special.

The 7'th movie being split into two certainly didn't improve in the declining atmosphere either.
I'm still convinced to this day they could've done the 7'th in one feature film rather than two.

Also, the 5'th book was the thickest by a 100 pages, so technically the splitting of the last one made no sense whatsoever.

I only truly like the first movie; philosopher's stone or sorcerers wherever you're from. It was perfection, the OST, the scenes where Harry sat by his dorm window looking out in the darkness... the Mirror of Erised scene... it was perfection.

Ever since they changed the director from the 2nd movie onwards; it didn't have that "masterpiece" feel to me... I still managed to watch 7/8 movies though. Haven't seen part 2 of the 7th movie...

I enjoyed reading the books though...

I think this just goes to say how bad a choice it was to split it into two movies.
Even for people who did watch it, it felt like a completely deflated experience because of how much of a setup part 1 essentially became.

I enjoyed the movies, love the cast for the roles but there are fundamentals that I wish they did from the beginning.

Peeves should have been in the films, the 5th was the longest book but the shortest standalone film, not a part 1 or 2. They had 2 films for the final book but they still cut so much out and worse not explain several elements they should have for the things in the film, i.e. dumbledore's sister, the glass shard Harry has, Kreature's involvement.

I know the book will always be better then the films but it's the little things that get cut that annoys fans. My family whom never read the books, found several things off in the films when they were spoiled about events from the books.

First and second movie were great, everything after was awful. It really is a shame the original Dumbledore died, the guy who replaced him made me hate the others.
