Depends, we talkin' sexuality or actual muscle?

Cause' if you're smart enough, you'd know muscle has nothing to be associate with being Masculine.

Neither does sexuality. (Well, it does, it's just that just because someone's gay doesn't necessarily mean that they're feminine and vice versa). I guess it's all subjective anyway.

To be honest the only thing I think about when I hear the word masculine is a masculine build, though they probably differ in meanings. I'd probably also think something like 'not flamboyant and somewhat cold-hearted' (Levi comes to mind), but that's about it.

? where did it go?

Bottom line: Confident, capable, independent, strong and reliable. Also, physically strongish- not afraid of snakes or insects, able to use a hammer, good with a barbecue, adept at fly-fishing,being able to change a tire and fix stuff overall is a big plus.
The rest is kind of optional.

Being able to hit a moving target with an AR16 at 600 yards helps, as does being able to change diapers.

That good enough for you?

No? Well, then, the ability to wrestle bears whilst soliciting their wives.

Haven't you heard of "step up to the plate and BE a man!" before? It would seem that "real men" are an elite group. They are just stereotypes , of course, but they hold powerful social implications in society.

The "real men" who tell others to "step up to the plate..." are usually the knuckle-dragging throwbacks from the 1950's who also think a woman's place is in the home... making babies.

Exactly. It goes to show you how evolved as a society we are from The Flintstones a cartoon from the 1950's. Such is the concept of masculinity. According to wiki, masculinity also entails homophobia, too. News to me, too.

Masculinity = 'maleness'

Femininity = 'femaleness'

I do believe that males and females are capable of having qualities from both categories. However, being more masculine doesn't make you any more of a 'man', and vice versa.
