I'm looking for a new show which focuses on romance or drama, preferably with a whole lot of feels.

They do not necessarily have to end happily as I also enjoys sad endings

So far I have watched several shows that fits into the romance/drama genres:
-Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai
-Asu no Yoichi!
-Angel Beats!
-Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan (I have also watched the sequel)
-ChäoS;HEAd
-Clannad
-Clannad: After Story
-Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekina
-Elfen Lied
-Golden Time
-Gosick
-Guilty Crown
-Hataraku Maou-sama!
-Highschool of the Dead
-Isshuukan Friend
-Kaichou wa Maid-sama!
-Kamisama Kazoku
-Kokoro Connect
-Kotoura-san
-Lovely★Complex
-Onee-chan ga Kita(oh God never agian)
-Ore no Kanojo to Osananajimi ga Shuraba Sugiru
-Rec
-Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo
-Special A
-Steins;Gate
-Sukitte Ii na yo("Say I love you")
-Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun
-Toradora!
-Walkure Romanze
-White Album (I have also watched the sequel)
-Zero no Tsukaima (I have been trough all the seasons)
-Zetman

The full list of the shows I have already watched can be found here (in order to avoid recommendations to shows I have already seen )

I know that a lot of these shows are Harems but I would actually like to avoid them. I do not not have anything against ecchi shows but it is not something that I normally search for.

/blue-spring-ride Probably what you want, but not available to DK from here

These should be available to you, but may not be exactly what you are looking for.

/utakoi Historical romance, some comedic moments too. Background about the 100 poets of Kuruta, a game featured in /chihayafuru, which is almost, but not quite about romance, but is still recommended.

/wolf-girl-and-black-prince Romance with more comedy than drama, occasional cringes.

Thanks!
All of them are looking really lovely!

Especially Blue Spring Ride have caught my attention, I'm such a sucker for shows with light colours and innocent love.
From the description of Wolf Girl and Black Prince it seems to be somewhat similar to Oreshura, which for me was a laid back anime for me to watch on a slow day.

Thanks for the recommendations!

Some of good ones that aren't on your lists (watched or planned):

Kanon (2006): Same makers as Clannad, and almost as good.

Aishiteruze Baby: Romance part of the story develops a bit slowly, but becomes very good.

Myself; Yourself: Again, the romance parts develop slowly, but end up in a very good place.

I Can't Understand What My Husband Is Saying: Short-form slice of life about a married couple in love, and funny as hell.

Please Teacher!: A classic rom-com about a fake marriage that slowly becomes real.

Kimikiss: Pure Rouge: A little sappy, but very solid story about three overlapping love triangles.

Amagami SS: Some of the arcs are good, some of them just okay, but if you're looking for short, feel-good romance stories, you can't go wrong here.

Dusk Maiden of Amnesia: The manga is better, but this is still a quality love story about a ghost and the boy who can see her.

I definitely recognise the art style when looking at pictures from Kanon. Clannad (the original and AS) are one of my favorites shows so Kanon will be on my high priority list :D

"Myself ; Yourself" and "Dusk Maiden of Amnesia" looks promising as well, I'm looking forward to watch those later.

My suggestions here are mostly quite old, so you may find them a little difficult to obtain.

5 Centimeters Per Second - a boy travels to see a girl from his old school who has had to move away with her parents.
Crest of the Stars / Banner of the Stars - a boy who has been adopted into an alien empire makes a striking impression on a female military officer.
From up on Poppy Hill - a studio Ghibli film about two high school students from Yokohama (set in 1963).
Ocean Waves / Umi Ga Kikoeru - another studio Ghibli film, this time about how the life of a male student from a sleepy town in Shikoku is affected by the arrival of a new female student from Tokyo.
Ah!! My Goddess - romantic comedy about a college student who accidentally wishes for a goddess to stay with him.
Kimagure Orange Road - classic '80s romantic comedy about an indecisive teenage boy and his relationship with two female school friends (the main plot twist being that the guy and his sisters have paranormal powers and they can't let anyone find out). It is a little bitter at times as one girl declares her feelings immediately and publically while the other doesn't want to hurt her friend.
Macross - Several series of sci-fi starting with "Super Dimensional Fortress Macross" in the early '80s (every series from this franchise has a "love triangle" element though "Macross 7" waters it down as it was mainly aimed at a younger audience).
Negima - a 10 year old wizard from Wales comes to teach a class of 31 students at an all-girl Junior High. This is a harem comedy but a fairly mild one given the relative ages of the characters.
Spice and Wolf - set in a medieval world, a merchant agrees to escort a wolf-goddess back to her ancient homeland.
His and Her Circumstances / Kare Kano - another comedy; on entering high school the "perfect" student is knocked from her number 1 spot by a male classmate.
Rosario & Vampire - a blatant harem comedy, from your first post you will probably want to avoid this one.

Edit: Another from my collection I forgot about:

Rumbling Hearts - pure drama; an unexpected incident changes the lives of four high school friends.

Just finished Natsuyuki Rendezvous, and I think it will be up your alley. It's a love triangle between a widow, her young employee, and the ghost of her dead husband (whose been gone for 3 years and the employee can see but she can't). It's played completely straight; there is very little comic relief, and instead you get a solid story about love, grief, and letting go.

MidoriNoTora some of these are allready in my list but the others are defiantly going to be added to my list! "From up on Poppy Hill", "Rumbling Hearts" and "Ah!! My Goddess" looks really promising!

mnmike, damn Natsuyuki Rendezvous seems to be very emotional, so yeah that is straight up in my alley! I have not really seen any josei shows before, but that will not scare me off! I am not afraid of dipping into new genres (currently going trough Loveless which is very different from anything I have ever watched before ).

I notice you seem to like some darker romances. You may like Future Diary (aka Mirai Nikki), Duskmaiden of Amnesia or possibly Tokyo ESP.

For something more traditionally romantic I'd suggest The Princess and the Pilot and The Pilot's Love Song. The first two books of a four book classic series in Japan.

One of my alltime faves though is A Bridge to the Starry Skies (though, it has both a happy and a sad ending simultaneously; I won't spoil). Another I swear by is Hyouka. It's about not one but two young couples trying to work thier way through young love.

Not sure how you feel about Yuri but if you don't mind it Blue Drop, Sakura Trick and Riddle Story of the Devil are all pretty good.

My Little Monster is a cute romantic comedy that I would suggest watching. It's also on CR so is easily accessible.

Bokura Ga Ita (We Were There) is one of my favourite romances and has a very wistful art style. It Blue Spring Ride caught your eye for its lighter art this one is almost similar to that. It might be hard to find, but is worth it if you can.

Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora is of the sadder variety. It's a short six episode series but is very sweet.

To add to 5 Centimeters Per Second I would reccomend all of Makoto Shinkai's others works as well: Voices of a Distant Star, The Place Promised in our Early Days, Children Who Chase Lost Voices and The Gardn of Words.

neugenx thanks for the recommendation! I have never heart about Future Diary but seems really good . I do not know about A Bridge to the Starry Skies, as it it categorised as an ecchi, comedy harem. But if it is one of your favorites I will give it a chance.

Vempy I have already seen My Little Monster but Bokura Ga Ita seems interesting. Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora sounds great

YVW LargerThanLife . Hope you like Future Diary. I don't know if you also watch J-Drama but there's even a live-action adaption that's different but quite good also.

Honestly, although there are ecchi elements in "A Bridge...", the main story involves a love triangle between a teen and two female best friends. There are other girls but none of them ever seems a viable option imho. I can honestly say the ending is one of those endings that leaves you smiling and makes you want to watch it again and again. IMHO, the show has too much heart and emotion to be classified as just an ecchi or a harem like some sites tend to.
