The relationship between science, religion and thought, are seemingly as they were multitudinous millenia ago. Everyone thinks a certain way, no matter how reasonable, or educated they may be. An idea, or theory (which need not only apply in a scientific context), pops into someone's head . . . And they cannot disprove it, or in a religious case, DISBELIEVE it.
Religion is necessary, even in a purely psychological sense, to keep a person happy and content. And to make the things they do not understand . . . Understandable. God, goddess . . Whatever did it. It also allows for deniable pausibility if the religious belief falls apart somehow.
Science, until proven or disproven, is very much the same as religious belief. However, in most but not all scientific theory, it stands or falls once it's proven. String theory and every other theory may be unproveable . . . However then those assumptions then would seem to have o be taken in faith.
Welcome to the Catch 22 in this ongoing, millenia old discussion.
I also believe in what can be seen, and touched. But . . . Some things are always best left unexplained (scientifically or religiously)

Because the scientific body today has become a cult that they only accept current accepted theory as the one and true. They have forgotten what science is about; which is curiosity and new discoveries.

I tend to chalk it up to the fact that a lot of people don't seem to value an education, meaning they really don't think studying is all that valuable. It's a lot easier to read shit someone else wrote on wikipedia than it is to spend you time in a library pouring over math problems. But it's the pouring over math that gets you the clear thought and models than you often need to handle the bigger subjects.

I doubt science because it keeps showing up late to events. I don't hate it, but I wouldn't trust science if it said it would show up at 7.

just in a simple math problem 1+1 .. there are over 10 trillion variables .. so the answer is impossible ... 1 of what + 1 of what .... .unknown infinity answers

Why do they? It's not like any scientist has ever falsified their findings before....

Because science can't always be right...it is based on human observation. Humans aren't perfect thus science isn't a perfect system.

I doubt it because the voices tell me to. There, I said it...
