I'm a big fan of Greek/Mediterranean design, so my ideal house would have that kind of style to it, with probably a noticeable modern/minimalist streak. I wouldn't need anything too fancy in terms of features, nor would I want it to be too big, as I don't like cleaning. I'm thinking probably just one floor and a basement would be perfect, and most of it would be "open", the majority of the rooms large and multi-purpose, connected mainly by arches rather than doors, except for those rooms where privacy would be necessary.

The main floor would contain my bedroom, which would be attached to a spacious study, where I could keep my books, computer and desk. There would be a guest room or two, just in case, a bathroom (with a sectioned off, spacious shower), and a large central kitchen/dining room/living room/foyer.

The basement would contain a second bathroom, laundry room, a small personal gym, and a large rec room, including a dartboard, pool table, and a big gaming table (the kind with little drawers all along the sides and a rotatable top, preferably able to seat up to about ten-twelve people) on which to play card/board/pen-and-paper games.

This is all, of course, my ideal house. I'd be perfectly fine in one of those one-room apartments, and admit that I would most likely be most comfortable renting out a condo/hotel room/boarding house room over owning my own house (as I would tire of the upkeep involved). But if it had to be a house, this'd be my house of choice, the one that I'd be able to put up with maintaining because I just like it so much.

Those are nice. There are so many of them near where I live.

I also really like Roman architecture.

Traditional Chinese
Wall around the house with an entrance leading onto a path to the house.
The house will have all them design-o-rinos and have a courtyard in the center were I can do my daily Tai Chi when I'm old.
That my dream home, my ideal home.

Some guy in my hometown of Cincinnati built this house. Seems like the perfect fantasy house given its weird design.

My ideal house would be an older building in the city that is converted and updated, so that you can see the old parts with their history contrast against the new construction. The exterior walls of the first floor would be old construction, but the interior would be gutted so an open design planned kitchen, living, dining area could be built. The second floor would be new construction. It would be done in wood and look like a Kengo Kuma building. The first floor would include a guess bedroom, guess bath, and a master suite with a bedroom, small bath, and library/studio area. Finally a basement for a billiard room, and storage.

Just a simple house made by Frank Lloyd Wright.

Not like this one, which I totally illustrated for days on CS3 while making my own grid references.

Something like this.
I don't need much room.
Those micro houses look pretty cozy.

I wouldn't mind Rito Yuuki's house from To Love-Ru but in a tropical climate because I hate winter.
