You are about to undergo an experimental medical procedure to enhance senses. 5 senses:sight, touch, hearing, taste, smell. You may only choose ONE SENSE and the result is permanent.

You will not be disfigured in any way, regardless of what you choose. Enhancing a sense has no other side effects.

Sight: Your vision improves so that you're able to now see 3 more new colors that you could not before. Your entire perception of the visible world changes. Your ideas about what looks scary or good or bad will all change. You'll probably freak out and people will think you're crazy. Your vision will remain 20/20 forever.

Touch: Your sensitivity to touch is several times greater. You can feel minute changes in the air and you can identify things without seeing them, based on their texture. Things that feel good now feel REALLY good. You can also feel sound. However, you also feel more pain.

Hearing: Your sense of hearing is improved. You can now hear a greater range of sound, so you can hear super high pitched and low pitched things only other animals can hear. You can also hear things from 3x the distance away. Beware of loud noises and places with many sources of noise.

Taste: You can taste and identify everything that goes into your food. Eating good food becomes a divine and indescribable pleasure. Eating bad food, on the other hand.....

Smell: You gain greater olfactory senses than that of a bloodhound. You can identify people and food easily by their smell. You can also smell when hormones within someone's body change, so you can literally smell fear and excitement and certain diseases. You can also smell that the person next to you didn't wipe properly in the bathroom.

Which one would you choose? Yes, choosing a sense will restore that sense to you completely. So, if you had one blind eye, you would now have two perfect eyes.

Would this procedure be able to restore sight loss? I've been blind in my right eye all my life, so I've never known what it's like to see with both eyes. If the answer is yes, I choose sight. If the answer is no, I choose hearing.

Touch would be something I would be fond of more than the others However Sight is a runner up for me since I wear glasses and could go without them since I feel quite dependent upon them.

I believe I would like to enhance my sight...

touch- more pain
hearing-I don't like loud things
taste- bc if I eat something terrible it will just magnify that by a lot
smell- I do team sports and I don't want the fumes of people's body order to be stronger

The smell would be interesting to get a nice sense of knowing what's always around you. But smelling crap all day would drive me crazy. I think I could deal with it. Smell for the win.

Smell. I heard there are dogs that can sense when a person is about to fall ill. I'll do that and charge a boat load of money.

Well, probably smell. Eyesight can be fixed nowadays anyways through laser eye surgery, and I'm used to wearing glasses. Taste is fine as is. Touch? No thanks. I like tattoos. Hearing? Ehhh, no. More migraines.

Smell? Yes. I'd be able....to smell arousal.

Touch least annoying of them all. Sound in the city i would be deaf, sight in the city i would be blind already enough noise and bright lights as it is. Smell no thanks don't need to smell every unbathed person, over perfumed person, garbage, bad smell in the city. Taste well ill just pass >,>

I'd go with sight. I already have 20/20 vision, but I'm color blind. Plus, I have glaucoma in my right eye. It hasn't affected my sight yet, but I wouldn't want to wait.

I'm honestly not too worried about the drawbacks. Personally, I only gain a more keen sense of color including the three new colors. I really don't see how I'd start freaking out unless the procedure left some psychological damage, which shouldn't happen, because it has nothing to do with the eyes. Maybe I'm not understanding the perception part. Does my perception change because of the new colors and 20/20 vision, or is the change a third separate affect? Either way, I think that would be a more psychological drawback than a vision drawback, because I should be able to see what everyone else does, excluding the three new colors.

Ya could've made this a poll, but eh.

Taste isn't that bad. If the food makes you gag, stop eating it! If I didn't want to change my life, I'd choose this...

... but superpowers are great. The headphone lover in me wants to pick touch so bad and tremorsense is awesome... but smell is kinda like tremorsense lite, super-empathy, and tracking.

At this very moment, I'm thinkin'... smell? I think touch might make the noise in concerts physically painful. Honestly, if given the choice, I'd pick one of them on a whim since I wouldn't be able to decide.

I'd probably go for the sense of smell. A bad smell isn't usually too much of a drawback and smell seems more useful than taste.

It's hard to choose, though.
