So I've made a few threads talking about ideas for light novels I want to make on here before. One of them I am still working on, the other I have no idea what will happen. However, my creative mind never rests and instead of focusing on one universe at a time, sometimes strays off and creates new ones. This is a new idea I'm working and will be the first story I attempt fire-person perspective.

"Roman Blakemore is dead. However, he finds that the afterlife is not like it's viewed on Earth. The good people are able to live their lives in the city of Hades while the bad live in the outskirts, or worse, Tartarus. A young female reaper, beings who guide deceased humans to the city, with monochrome hair and silver eyes in nothing but a midnight blue cape and skintight bodysuit that matches her skin named Elizabeth. It's revealed that the Blakemores are a famous family of demon hunters in Hades and Roman chooses to decline a cushy life in Hades and joins Elizabeth and her mentor, a demon lord named Prometheus, to protect Hades and Earth from the evil creatures of the underworld."

Would you read this?

I don't know if this will become as big of a series as I hope and plan my other one to be but, I feel it has potential.

Mmm... I'm not really into mythology. The story sounds interesting enough. I think the real thing here is with proper writing you can turn dirt into gold. It could be interesting, just make sure you cover all your bases, do a lot of research into those particular mythological figures or cities or whichever motifs you are looking at and put your own touch in. It's just to vague to say anything absolute now though.

Tartarus is really the only thing I'm keeping in touch with it's mythology roots. Hades is really the only name I could think of at the time that has relations to the afterlife.

I'll read anything as long as the characters are people I can get attached to. Plot is important, but for me it's the characters that make the story. So I guess what I'm trying to say is make your characters awesome and fun and, above all, REAL, and people will read and relate.

I would read it. Sounds like you could really create a fun world or should I say afterworld. And also like sjmatt said focus on making relatable characters so people can attach themselves to the story.

Considering it's the fourth thing I've written out of the ten or so ideas I've thought of that are actually being planned and continued, I'll do my best to create good characters and develop them properly
