Used to love the app b4 the update but now has wayyyyyyy to many adds, also the ads crash the app often and I was lucky if got through an episode in under an hour, as the videos now are super laggy. I had to watch on my Friend's device as it wouldn't let me watch ANYTHING on mine without premium.

Guess thats the price you pay when you don't pay....Wouldn't be much incentive to buy premium if that weren't the case. Without premium acounts and ads, crunchyroll fails to exist in its current capacity

I've always had the anime membership but i tried to watch one of the dramas once.

I understand the complaints.

The ads are placed randomly without thought to whats happening in the content. And it's really often! I don't think watch ads and get free content is a viable path like they were expecting. Also, the ads had issues. From a technical perspective. The third party ad providers were just not seamless transitions and almost always you just stared at blank screen waiting for ad to load....

We've been watching ad supported content on TVs forever. It's not the same experience at all. All the complaints and bad reviews are because they are comparing it to regular TV. There's a ton of commercials there, but they do it right.
