well, just joined and nobody's there. the channel was empty. =p

edit: i really think it's better to use something like cytube b/c people can watch and comment at the same time
right from the browser, w/o needing to use an irc client or different tabs

But then your dealing with copyright infringement?

you just stream what's already available on the internet (ex. youtube videos), nothing wrong with that.
unless you wanted to stream what's in your pc, in which case that would be copyright regardless of which method you use.

Still it's illegal since the streaming service can't know how many are watching, ad views etc... meaning they can't pay royalties properly etc..

by the same reasoning, watching embedded youtube video is also illegal.
btw, using teamspeak to watch anime w/o consent from the copyright owners would also be illegal.

Embedded YouTube still uses the authentic YouTube player and as such still counts ad views etc..
The idea is everyone watches on their own CR account and talks on TS / Mumble / IRC ; not for the show to be broadcast over TS / Mumble.

"everyone watches on their own CR account"
well, that's what everyone has been doing. people watch on their own and them post on the relevant forum section discussing the anime.
i no longer see the point of this thread.

The point (or at least original concept) is a live chat with others while watching just like on twitch
Your idea is good (basically is the same as twitch) but I wouldn't be the one to broadcast that's for sure.
