D'awww, these bonding moments are so cute

The game at the beginning was Bomberman - ah, so many childhood memories...

Many cute moments of bonding.
And Kyoko is just brilliant - the phone snapshot cracked me up

Episode 4: The Night Will Bring Them Together

Oh snaps Akari, you do not hide things Yui related from Chinatsu. Luckily she was safe in the end, but who knows maybe next time there will be blood. There has been a lack of blood this season though. Chitose where you at?

So apparently both Yoshikawa sisters have obsession rooted in their genes. Chinatsu with Yui and Tomoko with Akane. Their mother must have been extra crazy for their father, or maybe it was the other way around.

Sakurako needs to work on her kanji. But that Background Music was so catchy. Hopefully she will sing it for us again in the future. All in all a pretty average Yuru Yuri episode. Looking forward to more. Also it was nice to see the pajamas again.

Episode 5

For some reason, I can't help but laugh a bit at this shirt:

Weird ending but for most parts, found the episode amusing. RIP AKARI

Chitose had a lot of delusional fantasies today, and the ribbon reminded me of Chitoge.
Kyoko, stop killing me ...and Akari too, for that matter

I would love to see a girl walking around with that shirt over here in the West.

Lots of Nintendo references. Possibly homage? I dunno when the episode was produced, but Satoru Iwata passed away last month or so, so one might imagine.

The TV cabinet had a Wii U and a GameCube but I don't recognize the others with any certainty. I can guess, but I know I'd be wrong.

And nevermind Smash and Animal Crossing.

They're using the older versions of the 3DS.

It is very easy to go overboard with the flowers...

Ya missed the Sega Genesis, though in Japan it's known as the Sega Mega Drive, also I am pretty sure one of them is a Dreamcast but that's a guess. And I bet money there is an Xbox One, kinda funny that as Xbox has always tanked in Japan.

That aside this anime is awesome, it's is literally about nothing. The sort of best of comedy and slice of life I've seen in awhile. Though I beginning to wonder if Nosebleed chick is going to make it at this rate.

Episode 5: The Girl Falls Into Darkness

LOL the shirt that Yui got Kyoko. "I am AHO" XD. I think that is a matter of dialect right? Cause baka means the same thing in a way. But AHO probably makes it hilarious for the non-Japanese audiences.

Oh no! We will never know what happened to Akari's bun. We may never know the truth of whether they are actually attached or not. But all we know is that it was a horrifying experience.

Are back hip circles really that difficult? I might go to the park and try it out. Anyways Himawari was hilarious kicking Sakurako in the face to pass her test. Just gotta find that motivation.

Sakurako's little sister is too adorable. And her older sister has that nice Onee-san vibe. Good episode today. Looking forward to the next one.

...

Aho and baka are different words, not a dialect. Both may be translated into idiot but overall Japanese doesn't have many insults other than condescending pronouns, aho and baka. "I am aho" is pretty ridiculous though. I really don't think it was meant for western audiences.

Not the only show where they had an episode about someone who couldn't do a back hip circle...

San Hai is OK but the OVAs were more enjoyable to me so far.

A couple of weeks ago I asked a Japanese friend what the difference is and which is more insulting. She said both can be translated as "stupid" but there's a subtly of meaning. Baka is a temporary state. Like when you make a silly mistake and say, "Well I'm stupid." Aho is a permanent state, an intrinsic aspect of the person's personality. They ARE stupid.

Has anybody else noticed a lack of jokes about Akari's presence and/or status as the protagonist?

The show is pretty funny, but the scenes last way too long. The first two seasons they'd be hitting you with funny scenes and jokes nonstop. These episodes seem too short. Though its a miracle we even got a third season. I can barely name any shows these days that get a third season. Also "I am AHO" needs to be printed on a real T shirt like right now.

Episode 6

I face palmed hard this episode...

Mainly because of the floor cushion and then the other stuff going on during the rainy night. Kyoko must of be pretty bored this episode tbh with her constant trolling. Not a bad apple art though.

You would never be bored with Kyoko as your friend, and she's got some deft, artistic hands for sure.

Chinatsu's Yui delusion was hilariously creepy - peroperopero.

Edit: Just did my first back bend for a decade(?) - it was surprisingly challenging at first
