I promised myself I'd never show this to anyone . Oh well, here comes another broken promise to myself .

I "applied" for this marriage license at a forum I used to frequent. I fell in love with Saki after watching Valvrave and getting ticked off that the ending abused her more than the writers of the show did. I've actually written a few fanfics at fanfiction.net (25 chapters worth so far) under the name reddawnrocker "fixing" her story so she gets the "happily ever after" she deserves (and no I don't include myself in the fanfics nor do I own a body pillow).

I'm not huge on the whole waifu thing either. We relate, laugh, cry and love anime characters so the idea that fans crush on them or something is understandable to some degree. At the same time though some fans might be using it as a crux (although using media to escape fantasy is far from a new concept) to deal with real issues they would rather avoid.

I admit, I don't fully understand this waifu business, either.

But that might just be because I'm old and married.

Reading through this I couldn't figure out if I actually had even the slightest inclination towards a character in that way. So I popped into my watched anime/read manga list...

Koko: Golden Time
Holo: Spice and Wolf
Yukino: SNAFU
Hinata: Naruto
Kyoko Otonashi: Maison Ikkoku
Amane: Fruits of Grisaia
Kaori Miyazono: Your lie in April
Rachnee: Monster Musume (she's the only girl who could possibly beat out Hestia for best girl of the year)
Sento: Amagi Brilliant Park

Out of all of those, it'd probably have to be either Rachnee, Holo or Yukino purely because of their personalities and when it comes right down to it, why would you want to spend the rest of your life with someone whose personality sucked?

Plus all of these girls are adorable (I'm a leg man)

I don't know if I'd refer to the females I'm attached to as "waifu's", but I do however, have rather unhealthy obsessions with them.

Yuuki Konno from SAO 2

Kaguya Otsutsuki from Naruto Shippuden

and Chifuyu Orimura from Infinite Stratos

Waifu is, err, either Yoko Littner or Mikuru Asahina

But for this case, lets go with Mikuru,

I have an admittedly uneasy affinity for a few female anime characters, which I find a bit odd of myself since I have read comic books since I was about 7 or 8 and never had the same feelings towards comic book females. Perhaps it's the animation and more visible emotions in anime?

I'm not saying they are my waifu(s) or anything, but since the first time I saw various characters, I felt an attraction towards these hand drawn and colored people. Heaven help me if I ever meet any cosplayers who do them haha. The three that jump to mind first are Kallen Kōzuki from Code Geass, Louise Valliere from The Familiar of Zero and Maria Naruse from The Testament of Sister New Devil. I feel a bit on the dirty old man side when I really think about it as the latter two are considered Loli I suppose. But, all three are both take charge and head-strong, but have moments of frailty and admit to needing the help and comfort of others... That and I am a dirty old man (j/k)
