I've seen these types of people on the internet and i was pretty intrigued to see if they is a majority on people who believe there is such thing as an "anime world" or if people just keep their thoughts at the real world.

By anime world i'm saying if you think you could live in a world that is just anime or you think is a dream of sorts.

EDIT: after reading it back again and reading the comments, i didn't really specify correctly what i meant,
like the others said, DO YOU BELIEVE AND WANT TO LIVE IN AN "ANIME WORLD" OR WOULD YOU STAY IN REAL LIFE WORLD

Disclaimer: This is for a psychological study paper; your names etc will not be used but ideas and thoughts will, by voting/and posting you give me the consent to use you as a "subject" for the study (didn't know if i should add this or not but it's good to tell people what they're going into *cough*)

At first I thought you meant something like out of Sword Art Online.

The way I see your question, no. As much as I wish it were like an "anime world", reality will always be there to smack us in the face. Anime is a drawing technique or style, even though to me I could intertwine it within reality because of how close to "reality" some animes really are.

It's honestly no different from any other fantasy reality people want to live in. I think i would love to live in a anime based world, depending on the situation and type of anime world. It's nice to escape into fantasy but sadly we all have to live in reality at times to keep said fantasy going.

I also love when people put up the disclaimer of its for research or a "paper". Not saying that you aren't legitimately doing one but i hear that too often.

Also expect this to more than likely end up getting moved into the poll section.

What the actual fuck? Are you asking if you'd rather live in a anime world rather than the actual world?

I wouldn't mind living in an anime world....but definitely not Attack on Titan's world as that would suck. I wouldn't mind getting stuck in SAO or a really detailed virtual world that is indistinguishable from the real world. This is all hypothetical as living in an anime world would probably be very difficult

if you want the best results for your paper, you need to be more clear in your questioning

I'd say it's hard to give a solid answer since there are so many paths in real life as there are in anime that there's no solid way of confirming which would give you an easier life. However, if there's one thing I'm pretty sure on, it's that if I wanted real life to be replaced with an anime world I'd also be hoping to become the main character; a lot of responsibilities could potentially come with that title and as such, being the lazy bugger I am, I'd probably stick with the real world. The anime world isn't all wine and roses, and being stuck in one until I die would likely drive me insane.

I'd stay in real life, and believe in real life.

I don't believe an anime like world would be good to live in, but that doesn't mean I don't think the anime world is all that different than real life, other than magic and stuff.

Anime is entertainment, but also a major part of my and a lot of people's lives, so in that respect the two intersect often.

Of course there isn't an anime world. We're just stuck with this crappy real life.

You mean, would I want to live in a world with superpowers, plot armor, mecha, and harems?

Who wouldn't?

I understand what you are referring to.

Here:
http://weirdcommunity.wikia.com/wiki/Fictional_Realism_Based_on_the_Many_Worlds_Interpretation

https://litreactor.com/columns/believing-in-the-nonexistent-an-introduction-to-fictional-realism

http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=264454

It's not a common set of beliefs, but I guess it's gaining adherents.

for those who can't be arsed to look at the links:

Fictional Realism is a contradiction and makes no sense, how can you explain something that doesn't make sense?

Answer: The title Fictional Realism refers to the concept that because everything that is probable exists in an alternate universe that everything that doesn't exist in our universe and is considered 'fiction' is actually real in the Multiverse.

We are not saying that Spiderman is really in New York or that Batman is really gliding through Gotham City because in our universe, they aren't.

All we are saying is that Spiderman really does exist and Batman really is gliding through Gotham City in the Multiverse because there is a universe for every probability.

For me...... ehhhhhhh..... i suppose it's possible but I highly doubt it.

I'm not entirely certain there is an anime which comports with the sort of world I would prefer to live in, as that sort of world doesn't make for particularly interesting storytelling. Utopias aren't often established without some sort of dark secret, unpleasant catch, or at the very least being set as on the verge of annihilation somehow, because if one doesn't add something like this the story tends to just sort of plod along from event to event without any significant rises and falls in the stakes.

Imagine this variation on No Game, No Life: Everyone has somewhere nice to live, everyone has enough good food to eat, there's no factions vying for control of greater amounts of territory, no one ever cheats or lies, and losing a game carries no consequences apart from a mark that you've lost. Basically everyone just plays games with one another to avoid boredom in an environment of perfect safety and satisfaction of their basic needs. A pleasant place to live? Sure. An interesting way to retell No Game, No Life? No. It'd be one of the most boring anime ever made.

I may love anime and am very upset at how terrible the world can be, but I would never choose anime over the real world. I feel thats being too detached from reality. We just have to toughen up and continue living.
