Does Gensokyo count? Touhou is a video game rather than an anime but it is still a heavy part of Otaku culture. The way it is structured makes me believe that it has to exist. I also would leave behind everything to live there. In fact, If I won the lottery then my plan is to try and find it - even if it means not coming back. My religion believes that it has to exist as I have found that I'm not the only person with my religion despite the fact that I developed it myself and one of those other people relys heavily on Gensokyo.
According to that religion, if somebody truly believes in an anime world then it is real. I'd still rather play my cards on living in Gensokyo if anything.

As cool as it would be to live in an anime world, the real world is where we are and are bound by the laws of physics and reality.
I know the real world can suck, a hell of a lot and it's sometimes beyond twisted, but there are things that are worth living in the real world for.

I like to believe there is an "anime world" just because real life just seems so boring compared to all the anime I have watched. Like all I did today was take a nap after doing some math and biology and woke up around 2 hours later and eat some waffles while studying Spanish. At times like these I begin to think that I could be fighting titans or flying around with Aladdin from Magi. I also like to think that I would choose that world over here but I know I wouldn't because I have a life here I have built up and I do enjoy my boring little uneventful life.

So if there are alternate universes where fiction is real, does that imply that the "imagination" which artists and writers posess is, in fact, nothing more than a form of clairvoyance which sees into these other worlds? I have always thought the most difficult thing about being God would be the requisite creativity. If other universes do exist, I'm hoping they're far more stupendous than most of our existing fiction. Human imagination appears so weak at times, like why are so many mythological creatures nothing more than composites of existing creature? Ah, but I digress.
Yes. Tomorrow I intend to wake up, walk through some sort of glowy door, and enter the world of a harem anime (as the protagonist, of course).

You mean live like an anime character? live your life is one big anime? if thats the case then yes.
I've always kinda wanted to be like an anime character and live a life like theirs and have the real world like some of my favourite animes for example.
or at least have elements of anime in real life. it's a pipe dream but
Who doesn't want to be the badass protagonist saving the world from destruction? meting awesome people, being generally liked by everyone etc etc.
It sure does make life more interesting and/or fulfilling . I guess I just envy most Anime characters.
But in terms of thinking that there is actual anime world.... No.
