Doesn't matter what they've got downstairs, what matters for me is their political ideology and stances on issues that are important to me.

I will never get the reasoning behind people wanting to talk about politics in something completely non political.

Gender just like race doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is compatible ideology and opinions. If I liked someone I would vote for them whether they were male or female.

I believe that female presidents and prime ministers, etc. can be good leaders. In the U.S., we haven't seen real good candidates for it, however. I mean, Sarah Palin had a chance at being V.P. and...no thanks to her. As for Hilary...I don't know how good of a president she would be. I don't know if we'll have any good candidates for election day in 2016.

Yes, I'd like a female President. Breaking the gender barrier in America would be great. It is long overdue. All of the American women who could potentially run for President share my views. That won't be a problem. I'd particularly like if Senator Warren ran, but that seems unlikely. Assuming (and I am) that she wins the nomination I plan on voting for Hilary.

Don't think it matters, no reason not to have one. Even if I had a problem with it, more than half the country is female,so.......

If they can do the job well, then it doesnt matter to me.
Might be trouble when they're on their period though.

If she's competent, I'm A-okay. Performance is far more important than sex. I don't respect the idea of electing female presidents solely for the sake of deviance.

Regardless of candidates, I'm all for female president next election. I think a female president would be held more overtly accountable to keep gender discrimination down, and I like when a president is held overtly accountable for things.

It's kind of embarrassing that we the people would keep so many bad presidents in office for two terms but our two major political parties have never run a woman. It's like we don't even care about who specifically could do better, and now we're seriously most-likely looking at a leadership history that will read Bush-Clinton-Bush-Obama-(Bush v Clinton).

More important than the gender, the two party system seems like a cyclical bust to me. But yeah, female president, there's literally no reason to vote based on gender other than Hillary probably can't backslide on supporting gender equality issues even if she doesn't do much to alleviate them.

So yay, female president. Deregulation is assured with either a Bush or a Clinton, but this Clinton might have more overt pressure to hold on to some of the anti-discriminatory sentiments we've got, and I suppose that would have to be good enough with those options.

I say Hillary with Jeb as VP, just to get things really snowballing.

Or Jack Lemmon and James Garner, for a different kind of 3 star election story.

Yeah, genitals don't matter as much as some people seem to like to think. Woman or man, an individual is an individual and not limited to much based on their gender so... Kind of a silly thing to seriously consider.

Honestly, it doesn't even matter. As long as they are qualified and show promise to turn this country around to a greater future.

I just don't want a female president or people voting for a female president to avoid getting sexist comments from society and creating a controversy.
In other words, I don't want a female candidate being forced into running just to please the people that there is a female running.

Hope people understand what I mean.

Not limited to the US? Well, then. Tarja Halonen was a fine President.
