I am active on a biker forum, with better than 62,000 members; where we have the choice of putting people on a personal ignore list. If they post, then it just shows "This person is on your ignore list".

I searched the forums to see if another thread was created about this. I didn't find what I was looking for.

I don't know if this forum has this for us to use. I think this would be a good idea, that way we can read the threads without running into the trolls, flaming, pissing contests, the elementary school yard bully who can only say "PROVE IT" and never posts anything proving their side, and so on. I enjoy reading our threads here, even though I do not contribute very much, but there are times I truly wish I could put someone on ignore. Mainly because what they put in just didn't have much to do with the original thought behind the thread.

So what would be your thoughts about having the ability to just click "IGNORE"?

If you use Chrome as your browser, there's an unofficial extension which can be added in to block posts from your view which are made by specific users (along with several other features). You can read about it here: /group/Beardfists_Programming_Corner

I would like to have that option, but given how little CR's forums have been enhanced over the years, I don't see them implementing it without a torrent of requests for it.
