oh god the price of living vegan.... I've seen some containers of vegan shake powder go for over $70 for 10 servings how they hell can people afford that?! it's terrifying that some actually buy that stuff....

Surely, fresh produce can sum up to be more expensive, but it's beneficial for all parties. I've personally never used any powders and I'm doing just fine!

I object!

If I don't eat, all the precious food on earth would go to waste. There are pigs out there waiting to be turned into bacon. There are cows that want to be served as hamburgers. Please don't let the wishes of these dying animals be for nothing!

There are fishes out there just waiting to be turned into Mcfillets

But then I'd just be slaughtering and killing fruits, and vegetables...

How does one slaughter fruits and vegetables? It's preposterous. Goodbye.

I have to ask you what do you think about animals that eat other animals? I don't care if you're a vegan or whatnot I've always wondered what vegans thought of animals that eat other animals?

There's fruit juice coming out of fruits and vegetables when you cut them... That's like cutting up a animal and seeing the blood drain out of it's body, it's just a cruel thing I think shouldn't be done!

Obvious troll is obvious (?).

Even if you don't eat meat (re: are a vegan), you still need to eat other stuff to get calories. That's not a sin, it's just reality. If killing other things (be it plant or animal) for food is a sin, then our existence is a sin, and I don't think that's true.

What if I told you...

That starving yourself will only kill you?

You assume I know what other vegans believe? I have my own thoughts and opinions. From my point of view, I don't mind it. It's the way life goes. Is there a misconception about vegans, by the way? Because I eat vegan for my health and personal beliefs, not for the sudden trend.

Whoa, i wasn't attacking you... Lol calm down I'm not against or for vegans. I was merely curious as to what you thought since you're one and the question was directed at you. I've talked to other vegans in the past and they just brush it off. As for health reasons i hate to tell you but meat is healthy and while yes you can survive off not eating meat it's not advisable. I'm not trying to force you either way, just making you aware of the situation. Living off grains, fruits and veggies is a bad diet just like if someone were to live off nothing but meat. Due to the way grains are processed these days they have very little nutritional value to them. Like i said though just making you aware of that fact, i wish you the best of luck.

vegans can eat soybeans as an alternative source of protein, so it's perfectly fine not eating meat.
edit: it may even be healthier if you consider that you'd be eating less saturated fat.

Stop eating? No (unless you're Hitler).

Eat less? Yes. You should eat less.

"Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants." ~Michael Pollan

The problem isn't that you'll be hungry again, yo, and that you live in some Shakespearean repetitive hell. No.

The human body has many repetitive functions -- breathing, pissing, skin sloughing, fingernail growing, etc. -- that are insatiable. They're what they call "black hole functions". Things our body over and over and over to annoy us. It's because we have to eat again, that's worth living for.

Death is a disease.

But... But, you can survive without eating meat, plants and fruits. It's already possible to produce stuff with the power of science. It's a great alternative, that way we won't need to eat the food we do today... And it can be proccesed directly into your body so you won't have to eat it!
