I put a new post in "General", titled "Creativity with a Capital "C"". It has been moved to the "Enthusiasts Corner". My question is why was it moved. This was meant to be shared with all of CR, so that everyone would be able to enjoy it. The link posted is not something that I am enthusiastic about and do not follow. Was just a interesting thing and I wanted to share.

Don't know how many people actually look through the enthusiasts corner and don't know if it even pops up with new postings like the general discussion does.

Just speaking in a general sense, since I didn't move your thread, they're moved to where they seem most appropriate. The general area does get a lot of views, I'll agree, but the rules do require that you post where the thread is most appropriate, not where it would be most viewed.

But yes, Enthusiast does pop up with new postings, just like all other areas do, don't worry.

FYI, not complaining

So basically, if I had not included the word Creativity in the title. One of you wouldn't have decided to move it to the creative forum. Is that correct?

Posting with an accurate title, and not just using something clever, is going to help mods decide where the most appropriate place is for your thread, since they don't have the time necessary to read all new posts in-depth.

It's not as simple as that. I'm not the one who moved it, but here's my best guess as to why it was moved. You didn't really say anything in the opening post to start discussion, and given the title, a simple link with no indication as to what it was or why you were posting it, and to be honest even after following the link and watching for a few minutes it really did look more like "promoting my or my friend's cool video" was the purpose than anything else.

If you can beef up the opening post with a description of what the link is, why you are posting, and a statement or question that clearly invites discussion, I'd be happy to move it to General Discussion.

For example:

"A friend sent me this link that's been going around. I don't know the guy in the video but he puts together some pretty nifty illusions that look so real! I wish I knew just how he comes up with those ideas and how he does it. Must take a lot of practice and patience. I'd love to know what you think of this! Have you ever tried to make videos like this? Feel free to share some of your favorite "trick" videos that you've come across"

Changed the introduction. Not being a very wordy guy I did the best I could. Still not complaining, but if it isn't good enough I do understand.

Thumbs up! I've moved it, and added a bit to the title. Thanks for taking the time to clear things up!

No, thank you. I am not a very wordy person, doing intro's and such just don't come to me that easily.
