The Whispering Forests is a term used to describe the three great forests that lie to the east of Midgard. The easternmost forest is the Emerald Expanse. which stretches from the edge of Midgard along the southern edge of the Sentinel Mountains. The edges of this forest are felled by Midgard for wood and lumber, but woe to the one who strays too far into the forest.

To the southeast of Midgard is the Jade heights, where towering trees pierce the canopy. It is here that the elven tribes make their homes, living in a symbiotic relationship with the Jade Giants as the trees they live in are called. the Ashen Plains border the Jade Heights to the south and many attribute the nutrient rich ash as the cause of the trees growth.

East of the Emerald Expanse and north of the Jade Heights is the forest known as the Ruin Woods where only the bravest and most foolhardy choose to visit. The Ruin Woods as their name imply is the site of various ruins all but hidden by the canopy. Within the crumbling remains lurk a variety of fierce and deadly creatures. No one remembers the name of the ancient city that once stood where the Ruin Woods now exist. The name, like the city itself is lost to the forest...

Rin sat on the ground meditating. He stopped to rest in the Jade Heights, finding the atmosphere relaxing and calming. Hoping to find some sort of clue or sense of where his student may of gone is the main reason he stopped to meditate. Rin had his bag of small supplies next to him, not needing much since he scavenged off the land, but only what he needed for the time not trying to harm the tranquility of the forest.

The master soon sighed finishing his meditation. "Shion, silly girl.....I should of helped her with her patience and taught her how to tune those with negative thoughts out......" He said to himself and stood up. Rin looked at his nails, the slightly long metal nails he worked hard to create. Pulling out a small cloth he cleaned the metal and blew on it to get rid of dust. If the nails were dirty some poisons would become either to effective or a poison would not work at all. Picking up his bag Rin set off again, heading for Midgard.
