PCs. For when you want to pay thousands of dollars for something that will be obsolete in less than a year.

Also, you can't spell "piracy" without a P and a C.

Don't get me wrong. I grew up playing games on PC, as well as on console. But there's nothing there to be arrogant about. It's just as flawed and problematic as any console.

I will say that Steam has helped to make it a lot more viable in recent years, though.

The PC master race... Well there are several benefits of having a gaming PC. Its a powerful productivity tool so you can do many things on it. Consoles on the other hand do one thing really well. But thanks to things like Crunchyroll and Netflix they are replacing cable boxes.

As for the quality of the games... I like to compare PCs to supercars and Consoles to sport cars. Once does it's job extremely well and at very high levels, but needs a lot of maintenance. The other is simple and reliable.

Spent about 700$ on my pc, and it can play every game i own on ultra settings. (bf3, sc2, mgs5, etc) :s
And I will admit, it WILL last me quite a few years, (longer than my ps3 ever did XD)

I mainly play on Xbox consoles, though I do also have a PS3. I've never been a PC gamer, that being said, I grew up using Macintosh computers so my game options were rather limited (but Oregon Trail and Where in the World is Carmen San Diego were clearly awesome).

Admittedly, the title of this thread made me lol.

I play on everything, even though I am not the big gamer I once was even a few years ago. I prefer PC, but consoles have their place. Mostly i have consoles to play with non-pc gaming friends. My one gripe I have is I am terrible with peripherals. i have the worst luck with breaking/losing them. I just recently pulled my PS3 out of storage because I went and picked up Disgaea 4 on the cheap for it. The only problem? For the life of me I can't find my PS3 controller. you'd think I would have had it with everything else with the PS3, but nope... Somehow I put it somewhere else and just can not find it.

At least with my PC all my peripherals are right there on my desk.

Everyone has their reasons, I guess. I prefer either, though it sometimes depends on the game and cost. Example of what I mean: Steam sales.

I guess i am just not keeping up with the times and acting like a grumpy old man who won't accept new technology ( unless it is a PC / Game console ). Well that and i just don't play smartphone games because my PS Vita and 3Ds is keeping me too busy and my first few tries with smartphone games are just bad. My smartphone is basically just a glorious alarm clock and internet browser to me lol.

To Kiramiran

That picture is perfect.

I prefer some games on PC and others on console, so I don't get the big deal.

Have you ever built a PC? Saying that a setup that costs thousands of dollars to build will be obsolete in less than a year is just...

Mm-hmm. And I am aware it can be done cheaply if you are shrewd. But I am equally aware of more than a few people I have known who have spent the thousands of dollars, only to be quickly frustrated as the software outpaces their hardware. (Or they find that their graphics card is a little too powerful for their cooling system. Or that their version of Windows hates them. The list of problems goes on and on.)
