Favorite freestyler, can't really think right now so I'll just say Supernatural..or maybe The Saurus.

Favorite Beef, 2pac vs. Biggie (Hit Em' Up was the shit), Game vs. G-Unit (Game fucked them in the ass lyrically), or Nas vs. Jay-Z (Ether & Dead Presidents)

Haha yeah that one battle between him and Juice has been is on my mp3 player and I listened to it for the first time in years like a couple nights ago =P. I haven't really heard anything about him lately but maybe that's because I really haven't been up on the news tip that much.

If y'all have been following this shit, there's been a lot of mixed reactions on this semi-scenario. You'd think when it's involving Soulja Boy, it'd be a one-sided argument against him with a few dickriding homos siding with Souja Joke.............but it apparently isn't. Just recently, Kanye West out of all people is warranting that Soulja Boy has apparently won this conflict of difference b/c Ice-T is acting really immature for calling out Soulja Boy for all the infamous decline in Hip Hop.

Sorry jak for making this into a bigger ass convo with an individual thread, but that damn Soulja Boy thread won't highlight any solid debate about this issue unless it's in its own thread. I've seen some good debate about this in other forums/sites about this "beef," so I wanna hear the opinions of this place and see what yall fucking think about all of this

well... i give both of these dude props & bitchassness awards...

1. IM REALLY SURPRISED AT HOW LOGICAL Soulja boy's response was... (not the stupid ass jokes he wuz makin... they really werent that funny, but his 2 buddys probly thought he was Dave Chappelle) ... anyway.... the fact that he moved his family out the hood & is the breadwinner at age 16-17 is a blessing from God...

2. Ice is right... the hip hop genre appears more ignorant since SouljaBoy came in the game

3. Ice is wrong... i do agree that Ice is wrong for how he is coming at Souljaboy... Ice came at Soulja boy like he started the beef... & being a old head... he shoulda exercised more wisdom than to go on wax saying soulja boy needs to eat a dick...etc. I think he woulda been good just saying "Souljaboy is fuckin up hiphop"

4. Anybody can tell ya that the game has changed... lyrics are out, dances are in.... deal with it... As i have said once before HIP HOP is an umbrella term. RAP is an extension of hip hop. Ive heard some stuff like... "Soulja boy (nor anybody else) aint tryin to make hip hop, they go into the studio & make Rap songs... that u can feel & vibe to...

4b. The makers of this 'new era' of Rap music are not so much MC's or street poets, but Hustlas... Get $, it dont matter how u get it, just get it... If i put myself in SouljaBoy shoes... make Millions of dollars off of 1, ONE, song... at the expense of a defiling a subjective concept -- 'hip hop' ... shit gimme the $$

5. I dont think Ice is tryna do a publicity stunt to move a few more units... Ice's fan base is small, he knows that... and the fact of the matter is he's good at the Bank... CoCo wont let ice go broke LOL, i think Ice wuz just speaking his mind on tape... w/o thinking about any concequences... ''Im Ice-T, the OG of gangsta rap, ima say what i have to say & niggas will respect it, and if not they can eat a dick"... im sure this is what his thought process was

Ok somebody else turn

Yeah. I saw that video on TMZ the other day. Well, Ice-T was in the music business and everyone's a music critic themselves. They have the right as a listener to judge whoever's music. It was immature to flat out say it like that but there is truth behind those straightforward words. I mean.. listen to the old school music. It's different.. very different. Compare to the shit that we grew up on like pac and biggie. I know it's not fair to name them because they're rap legends but they started somewhere. Soulja Boy makes a stupid ass hook and he makes millions? I feel the anger behind Ice-T's comments. Did you ever wonder how long it took for 2pac and Biggie to make those famous songs? How much time they took on writing it? How much thought they put into it? Pac poured his heart into his writing and Biggie was freestyling off the dome; trying to make ends meet. Taking time and effort to spread their music, their opinions, their life experiences. This Soulja Boy doesn't have any say because he probably doesn't have morals; rappin' about Superman'ing a ho. What kind of stupid shit is that? I mean come on.. I know he's producing music but does it have to sound so retarded? Does he really have to rely on his hooks and beats in order to make sales? I know that music is listening to the beat, rhythm, harmony, etc. of a song but to seriously degrade rap with lyrics that have no meaning is stupid. At least put some heart into your music. I have yet to see Soulja Boy freestyle or rap a REAL song. Until that day comes, he doesn't deserve music credit or respect. Fuck that..

I'm done with my ranting for now.

I know real lyricists rap within the game to make a change//
Putting dance moves, removing the lyrical muse, everything's getting rearranged//
I've already displayed my patience and prayed for my name to awaken//
I deserve more respect than any of these fakers in the rap invasion//
Real lyricists to your battle stations, fire with ink at the pads of the paper//
Maybe if you try hard enough, you'll write something that'll make you a future changer//
Delivering punchlines like a right hook followed by a haymaker//
Do not fully ingest my words for my lyrics are a health danger//

Thanks for showing me this Big J.

I believe that overall, both of them are wrong, as far as how they both reacted towards one another.

We had Ice T lowering himself to SB's level and cussing him out, when he shoulda just laid it out plain and simple that SB is WACK.

Then we had SB's ass talkin about how old Ice T is, and that didn't help his side at all.

Now here's how they were right:

Ice T is definitely right about SB being wack and killing hip hop. That's a given. And he was also right about how "even a 25 year old is considered OLD by a 17 year old".

But SB was right about Ice T being a hypocrite, making a "Fuck the police" song, then playing a police almost 20 years later.

All Ice T had to do in the beginning was say "I'm sorry but, Soulja Boy is killin Hip Hop", without tellin him to "eat a dick" and all that.

Soulja Boy should've also came with a smart reaction.

So overall, they both did a horrible job at making statements.

I also feel Ice T's pain, though. Rappers back then had to work HARD for theirs. And it was worthwhile in the end. Now we got straight bullshit coming out of SB's mouth, and he makes millions.

As far as that Ice T sayin fuck the cops & now he plays one on TV....

1. Soulja Boy is NOT smart enuff to make that coralation by himself.... Several Comedians have used that in their routines... AT LEAST 2 years ago.... so all he's doing is repeating what he heard on Comic View most likely

2. I remember Ice T explaining that as well a while back.... something about maturation... times have changed... being a positive role model.... all police arent bad guys... yada yada....

3. CoCo is Sexy AS FUCK

4. Ice T was recently... i believe last Monday nite.... on the 1st episod of Celebrity Family Fued (the game show) ... celebs & they fams/close friends play for a charity of thier choice... Ice T has a charity in LA i believe that focuses on Gang prevention & edu.... so Soulja Boy was wrong once again.... Snoop said it best... the media wont ever tell ppl about the good stuff rappers/celebs do... only the bad. AND souljaboy WTF have u given back to the community?

Ice-T's a hypocrite and Soulja Boy can't make music with decent lyrics. Everyone turns into a sell-out one way or another (except for those who weren't sucked in by their fame and fortune). But I'm on Ice-T's side on this debate.
