Some computer literates and some smokers and drinkers. They were all fine people though.

Half the time, it was whoever I sat closest to during class, while in class; however, my closest buddies mostly varied between "weirdo," "anime/manga/manhua fan," and "average student." I've never had much difficulty finding common ground between myself and others, but, being more than a little strange myself, I gravitated the most towards others along those lines. Nonetheless, I spent quite a bit of time as a loner.

I guess you could say I was one of those hybrid jock/nerd types. I was a starter on my varsity football team in high school and hung out with my "nerd" friends to play Magic the Gathering, Starcraft, watch anime and read manga. But really, I hung out with anyone and everyone, as long as they were cool with me, I was cool with them.

Band geeks, geeks, skaters, AP classmates, or by myself in the library

I didn't really like a lot of people, I liked my solitude. I transferred schools after my sophomore year, I still hung out with the same type of people when I transferred lol

I hang around with gangsters since that was who my oldest brother was with. Beside I never talk to any of them but I sure was a huge troublemaker (fighting wise). Worst decision I chose back then, but oh well we learn from our mistakes/errors we do in life.

I'd hang out with anyone who wanted to hang out, although that wasn't many people. I've never been particularly good at socializing.

Preps are (generally speaking) youths who come affluent or otherwise well off families. Rich kids. That was the main application of the terminology in my school, anyway.

Even though I jumped between groups and had friends in just about any circle- I was definitely closest with stoners/smokers. My smoky kin~

I was really shy then. I was a nerd that played football, so the jocks didn't pal with me 'cus I was a nerd, and the nerds didn't pal with me 'cus I was a jock. Just went to class, then practice, and then went home and read science fiction. (I did eat lunch sometimes with Norman Odom, look up Legendary Stardust Cowboy on Wikipedia) Hmm, I also ate lunch with a guy who went to Cal Tech, and another who went to Reed College. Didn't join Mensa until I was in graduate school. One of the jocks I played football with went on to play football for Army. He never wanted to wrestle with me in the football off-season because I would always beat him, ha, ha

Most of the people I went to school with were obnoxious so I didn't hang out with them outside of school. I pretty much talked to everyone as there wasn't a difference between the students like you seen in American films, but I never considered them to be my "friends".

The few people I hung out with were low key Asian geeks like myself. I don't mix well with overly talkative people, interacting with them expends too much energy, plus I have enough of those at home.
