Post Reply Relatives who can't make coherent sentences to save there life.

It's quite interesting when I get a text message from my aunt and the sentence structure is so abysmal it's painful to read and decipher the meaning behind it, albeit she is old-ish(late 40's). I was wondering if anyone has relatives who's communication through messaging is just horrid.

Probably. I wouldn't know myself as I don't send out or receive text messages, emails, etc. to/from relatives.

A lot of my relatives in Mexico use a period instead of using the space key.

Many people in their 40+ years always use an excessive amount of "!!!" or "...........".

Lol so my cousin's spelling is atrocious.

examples: "Had a great 2014 thanks to. Had all of great time and allot of fun as well2015 here i come i also gives thanks to all my family gf and friends for all the good memarys now fans be good year and to make new memorys"

"Got my mount today so exsided"

"So I apliyed for a factory worker and got a call cupple hours ago saying 10 tomorrow morning I got a interview smile emoticon so exsided"

My maternal grandpa's hoarse voice and mumbling speech make for a combination that is difficult to decipher. Also, I have a few little cousins and a niece who're still fairly prone to throwing words almost randomly together and passing them off as sentences. The munchkins get free passes, of course.

Oh and to add perspective let me give an example, for context she was feeling under the weather and I wished her the best and told her to get a good nights rest and she responded, "At a couge medicines for day, are nite... work good.. to sleep.." that took me a while to understand but I got the jest of it.

Its a pet hate of mine when someone doesnt use puncuation in texts. Every sentence is just blurred together so you end up having to decipher what they actually mean.

And its even worse when people abbreviate stupid words which means the text loses all legibility...

I'm not sure why you especially ask about relatives. I don't text much with anybody, but I occasionally read Facebook entries from relatives. My uncle posts in ALL CAPS and rants while doing so. Ugh.
