I view breastfeeding in public in the same view as people walking around in swimsuits: if you are doing either one in an inappropriate place I am going to call you out on it.

Yes it should be allowed. A mother shouldnt have to feel guilty or uncomfortable if a situation arises where she has to feed her baby. She should however have the foresight to practice a little discretion if needed, and have a blanket or cover handy instead of just whipping her tits out and letting the baby have at em in a full public display. lol

Absolutely yes.

People who have a problem with it should just get over it.

I mean it's not even like the women are completely stripping down their upper bodies. It's generally done rather modestly. But i don't think a lot of coverage should be required. It should be mostly what the mother is comfortable with.

I think they should be allowed to do it... We as humans need to stop being scared of out own bodies, it's just a natural thing... Am I saying we should go around naked? Nope, I'm just saying we shouldn't be asaimed with our own bodies!

Probably the best way to put it.

You know some people will be sensitive to it, so you need to have some discretion. However, it should be allowed. It is as necessary to the infant as breathing and, unlike defecation or sex, it can't really be expected to be reasonable delayed for some time. If you think that clenching your rear until the bathroom line goes down enough or that your impulse to screw someone is as important as a newborn's intake of nutrients, you are possibly delusional.

Until infants can be reasonably expected to exercise the same care and control as full grown adults, that argument holds no water.

Heck it's legal for women in New York state to walk around topless so I don't see how anyone would complain about a little thing like a mother feeding her child.

If only people would think like this instead of suggesting a ban on anything that they don't want to see.

Personally, I think it's fine, as I see the reason behind it. Although that doesn't mean It won't make me slightly uncomfortable if I have to hang around them for longer than a couple minutes...

just want to ask you if you knew alot of "wierd" people inside a bar and then a mother with husband and she breast feed the child and you see those wierdos looking at it (either she is young?, hot or something with high attencen) do you think its fine or should use/find a room for that ( I am asking you and not her or as if you was her and knew what you knew)
Hope that makes sence ._.

I'd probably wonder why a parent takes her newborn to THOSE types of bars. No other establishments provide such rooms so I don't think it would be fair to mandate that bars have them.

Being a creepy weirdo and assaulting a woman is already illegal.

A lot of stuff should be dictated by personal discretion. Otherwise it would be impossible for businesses to remain open while having to baby adults who make poor choices.
