Should women be allowed to breastfeed in public?

I see no problem with breastfeeding. The child gets fed so there's less bawling. What I would have a problem with is anyone telling a breast feeding woman to take her child to the toilets to feed. We don't eat in the toilets so why should a young child who's immune system won't fully develop until they are seven years of age be expected to eat in such an environment? Developed breasts are designed for nourishing children, others being attracted to them is a secondary thing.

Any woman who is not afraid to do so should be allowed to do it, the baby's needs always come first after all.

Besides, it's why we have them anyway (why not use them!)

yes of course how is this a debate (besides men trying to argue that they'll get distracted by an organ that isn't even a sex organ)

It's the most natural way to feed your baby, it should be allowed.

Of course women should breast feed their child anyplace. Only people who have their head up their asses,(thus their world view is distorted), would find this loving act offensive.

There are too many immature people who would make a ruckus about doing it in public lol. Why not just bring milk bottles? Wearing clothes is an evolutionary thing for a reason according to Vsauce, not a thing man invented.

The only problem with this is pervs. And the people who find a way to complain about everything. Don't know which one is worse. Maybe each breastfeeding woman should have a bodyguard or a cop guarding her while this happens? xD Or maybe do this in the bathroom? I mean, if you need to change a baby's diaper in public, you don't do it right then and there for everyone to see... usually.

If it bothers people then it bothers people which is an involuntary response. How hard is it to just go somewhere or use another method?

Whether breasts are technically sex organs or not matters not to me. It disturbs me just the same as I'm into paizuri.

Well said. At the very least, they can practice a little discretion. I have no qualms with women breastfeeding in public, but even as a woman, there are some circumstances that make me uncomfortable, like highly public areas. People need to consider that although it's natural, some people (like myself) who haven't been exposed to breastfeeding growing up (no younger sibilings, no younger cousins, etc), so yah, the unfamiliar can be a little unsettling, so consideration should go a little both ways. I'm not asking anyone to go feed their baby in the bathroom, but they could at least try to find a quiet area. And as for the all these situations with breastfeeding in planes and stuff, I've traveled a lot and I've regularly seen women asking flight attendants and flight attendants offering to mothers, to feed in the curtained off area for the flight attendant. I've never seen an attendant say no to that. Anyway, just a thought to a compromised solution.

I think it's all right if women breastfeed their child in public as long as there is some semblance of privacy, such as inside their car or in the women's restroom. What I do not think women should be doing is breastfeeding while in the middle of a strip mall or in a restaurant.

It would be awkward for me, but why not? It's natural...as long as the women doesn't TRY DESPERATELY to draw attention to herself and she isn't doing it RIGHT in front of people.

having sex is another part of life, should we do that in public? I have a vagina, should I walk around with no trousers or pants on because it's natural;nope. Personally, I don't care but if a person has a problem with it, they are not being irrational, what is wrong with people these days?
