Well... good for you. Might I recommend a healthy dose of yuru yuri to excite your sexual tension.

If you havent seen Yuri Kuma Arashi - which is currently airing - give it a watch in conjunction with the CR forums on the show. This will help explain the differences between Class S relationships (acceptable in Japan) which are less/non sexual; and yuri/lesbian relationships (not as acceptable), and how this affects what we see in anime. It is also a great anime & well worth watching!!

Probably because of the lack of Bleach anime.

I swear back in the day, YoruichiXSoifon was the most demanding ship on the planet.

I disagree... after all, there might not be a lot of yuri, but there's a lot of lesbians in anime

And yet, very few homosexuals get their own TV series.

I've seen it... well, not "seen" it as it's not done, but I understand the symbolism and a lot of it is sort of subjective, atleast to me. However, the overall message is there and I understand it.

As a show however... it's meh... I know it's proggressive and all... Each yuri has thier own unique thing about it... probably because there's so little of it. Yuri Kuma is about social prejudice, and honestly, might be the first yuri anime to address it. Aoi Hana is about realism. Utena is about breaking through gender roles. Cross Ange taught us how to make a yuri anime not be a yuri anime, by simply making all the other girls lesbians except the main character.

This is off topic, but this is an interesting article about yuri is more male targetted when it used to be the other way around.
Personally, I don't see this as a bad thing.

And as far as sexuality goes... when you think about it. Fanservice, when coupled with drama, can introduce a lot of men to yuri. You can draw them in with the fanservice, yet shock them with genuine quality and emotions. Perfect marketing strategy for yuri.. more fanservice.

I'm sure you could make a show, with the drama of Maria-sama, but with tons of fanservice to draw in the male audiance.

You can search for manga with yuri, that's where most of it originates... as doujinshi.

All you need to know is that it will change your life. It might seems like just a simple slice of life with fanservice... but it's a masterpiece

I really like yuri, the lighter stuff more with actual romance.
I have found one of my problems is when harem anime is listed as yuri, really I get so tired of the amount of harem type I run into normal.

Its weird, I've known what Yuri anime is for ages but I don't think I've ever actually watched one. I've seen anime with undertones of it and it seems to be mostly used as light fan service in those shows. So I probably just pass over most anime that looks Yuri because I presume they are all just fan service, but I'm sure there are good shows out there... I just don't know what they are.

There's a bunch of Yuri manga, in comparison to the smaller margin of Yuri anime out there. Kind of like yaoi. I personally prefer reading it over watching it in most cases.

I enjoyed that one to the point that I pre-ordered the DVD set from the CR Store as soon as it became available.
