I remember back in high school I had a dream that I recognized as a dream. When I tried to prove it, the dream became as realistic as possibly. I guess I subconsciously don't want to lucid dream

Yeah! I love it. It's rare that I try to take control of the dream. I've only really done that when having nightmares because I can't handle them. But its been so long since I've had a nightmare (or at least one that I remember).

Usually, I just watch it like a movie, as you said. Half my dreams don't really have me in them (or if it is me, it's not a "me" that I recognize or feel connected with) so sometimes it's like watching a bizarre story and other times I feel like I'm creeping on people's everyday, simple lives. But yeah, dreams are so fascinating. :D

I don't have dreams as much as I use to. I think they got tired of my controlling them all of the time. Usually whenever I was in a dream I would try to go to place I've always wanted to go. And so I would appear there and usually cause havoc, because you know, it was a dream. It's almost as if they were games, and I just KNEW how to control them. It's not like a "hold the W key to walk forward" kind of thing though. It seemed similar to a game because I could do whatever I wanted. And without any real thinking, hurr durr. Dreams are just part of our imagination I suppose.

You mean you can choose to take control when you're having a nightmare? Lucky.

It's kinda scary being self aware in a dream but not being able to do anything. It's like my body has puppet strings attached and moves to the script written in advance with no way to change directions. Even my emotions are controlled by the dream. At least that's how I feel. When it's a just a normal dream and I don't realize it's a dream until after I wake up, I'm just like "ok, well that happened." When I realize it's a dream while I'm still asleep, the "me" inside of the dream doesn't do anything about it. I wake up confused wondering why I didn't do anything.

I've always wondered if people can really make anything appear in their dreams like having a giant robot appear out of nowhere or suddenly flying through the skies in an otherwise normal setting.

Oh that gives me an idea for another question to put in the OP!

If you've taken control of your dream while knowing you were dreaming, what have you done after becoming aware in your dream? Have you tried doing anything crazy knowing you were in a dream?

It is very rare for me to have a lucid dream. I had a lucid dream in 2013 or 2014 in the summer season. The dream was about me and my husband ( i am not married and i don't have a boyfriend) and we were having our honeymoon on the beach. The dream was very real, I felt the sand on my feet, the nice summer breeze, and the sun's rays hitting me. My husband (?) was a tall, long haired blond, with a nice body and a familiar face, He was a happy-go-lucky guy and his face looked like a guy in my school who doesn't even know i exist. He wanted to eat some of the buffet food before we go swim(strange i know) and i said okay. There was this outside tent on the beach and inside was the buffet, there were tables of red meat, mash potatoes and many other common foods. The price was free and for some reason the only people there was an old couple, I could smell each and every food on the table! Even though the foods looked so delicious , I wasn't hungry and headed outside. My husband followed me outside too, we stood on the beach sand as i stared at the ocean waves. Like I said before, EVERYTHING felt so real! I stared hardly at the waves and I really wanted to swim. When I walked over to the waves , my husband stopped me and said 'I love you' Then he got closer to my face and tried to kiss me. It was then at that moment my mom called me to wake up and i started waking up, Right before I woke up. My husband had a sad expression on his face and said "Bye, I'll see you later..." and he waved me goodbye and I woke up. It was a very very strange dream and I haven't had any lucid dreams like that since then. But i wonder though, what did that dream mean? Is the dream I had is a dream of the future? Is this guy in my dreams is the man i will marry in real life? And who is this man? What was his name?

It was a premonition telling you that senpai will notice you. The honeymoon you saw in your dream will surely come true!

Well if its a good dream I am aware because I realize in my dream that its too unreal and this couldnt possibly happen to me.
Posted 3/17/15
I able to do that but for some fucking reason I always end up in a nightmare or me dying.

Oh god, don't get me started on MY nightmares , those are some of the most nonsensical, twisted abominations there ever was, and I know not where they originate . When I know a dreams a dream its typically when its readily apparent, or too good to be true. It happens with nightmares too, but not as often. Impressionable stupid me

There are nights where I can see in my dreams clearly and I remember them the next morning.
