....

Sounds fun!
I like having nightmares and dying in dreams, too!

Are you sure ? Because some time I dream stuff like this.

My dreams have become pretty fun honestly. Idk what it is. But it's free admission to a theater every night.

A lot of the time I don't know I'm dreaming because I don't think about it, but I can tell when I'm awake for real because everything is depicted in a clarity that doesn't exist in my dreams. In my dreams I don't think about it, but things are a lot more hazy, it's harder to co-ordinate and think clearly etc. etc. There are a few differences which help me know when I'm in the real world.

It was a premonition telling you that senpai will notice you. The honeymoon you saw in your dream will surely come true!

ah... well thanks anyways!

You mean you can choose to take control when you're having a nightmare? Lucky.

It's kinda scary being self aware in a dream but not being able to do anything. It's like my body has puppet strings attached and moves to the script written in advance with no way to change directions. Even my emotions are controlled by the dream. At least that's how I feel. When it's a just a normal dream and I don't realize it's a dream until after I wake up, I'm just like "ok, well that happened." When I realize it's a dream while I'm still asleep, the "me" inside of the dream doesn't do anything about it. I wake up confused wondering why I didn't do anything.

I've always wondered if people can really make anything appear in their dreams like having a giant robot appear out of nowhere or suddenly flying through the skies in an otherwise normal setting.

Oh that gives me an idea for another question to put in the OP!

If you've taken control of your dream while knowing you were dreaming, what have you done after becoming aware in your dream? Have you tried doing anything crazy knowing you were in a dream?

That does sound scary! I would not enjoy that at all. It's almost like sleep paralysis (which I pray I never experience) since you are aware but have no control. Though for you, your emotions get pulled in, which is terrifying to me.

I don't really make anything appear, but usually just manipulate what's there. The first time I did this was during a nightmare when I was a child. I was cowering under a swingset (a great hiding place) as a bunch of monstrous dinosaurs were hunting me. Somehow I changed what the dinosaurs were like, so they weren't a threat (it was like they went from "Jurassic Park" to "We're Back! A Dinosaur Story").

As for crazy things, outside of nightmares, I can only remember controlling a dream where, in the midst of other things going on, I found this robot (resembling an AC1 droid from Star Wars) and decided it would be a nice dream if I balanced/stood on it and flew over Toronto. It was actually really exhilarating, but also really stupid because I'm scared of heights. Though you know its a dream, you can't help but be unnerved by what you see. I've never gone flying like superman or turned off gravity, but I don't really have a desire to. Usually, if I'm aware, I just want to see how the non-scary dreams play out, especially if I'm not in them and it's story-like.

Yes, sometimes I'm able to control some things, but not all the time. The weirdest feeling is when you're sleeping flat on your back, and your body feels like it's floating, like you're not in bed. It's kind of cool though, and I have to really be sleeping deeply for it to happen.

I have never been able to control my dreams, even while aware of them. It is like I am paralyzed and being move by some unknown force; probably one of the creepiest things I have ever experienced.

Yeah that looks amazing! I wish I had more dreams like that. Especially the Modoka one.

I wrote the title the way I did hoping someone would respond like that. Thank you.

Oh, and sorry about having to wake up in the real world later. The real world sucks, doesn't it?

It's scary at first, but then you get used to it. What scares me more is the fact that I'm having dreams like that more often... which is weird because I used to hardly dream at all... It's like there's just a random moment where I'm thinking "is this a dream? Yeah. It's a dream." Then I just ignore that and carry on with whatever I was doing even though I'm aware that I'm dreaming. I had one of those dreams this morning and it was surprisingly vivid, even after so many hours have passed since I woke up. It involved someone from my past and I couldn't help but get so nervous and do nothing but sit down. Of course, that person walked in after I already realized I was in a dream.

I heard sleep paralysis is a lot worse, though. It's like having a nightmare in real life or something like that. I hope I never experience that.

Sounds like you've had some fun manipulating your dreams. Those poor imaginary dinosaurs never knew what hit them. Flying over Toronto on top of a robot sounds scary but at least you had a nice view!

I've had lucid dreams from time to time. There was this one in which I walked past a mirror and noticed the weird distortion in the reflection and realized I was dreaming. It was pretty creepy when I recalled that image after I woke up.
Any dreams of money raining from the sky and winning the lottery always fail to convince me so I'm aware when I have those. >.>

Btw, does anyone else ever hear music or distinct speaking voices in dreams? And I don't mean those coming from outside your dream. I heard somewhere that you don't actually hear sounds in dreams, or that you can't read words if you look at a book or newspaper etc. in a dream. However, I have experienced both. Maybe my imagination fooled me?

I rarely have a dream I cant control. a lot tend to link to my life, then an odd few where I die.

I had a lot of dreams I couldn't control as a kid... Guess I got tired of dying ^^

Im 23 now, and my dreams usually end with someone touching my shoulder, I turn around and I wake up, Or in some cases I sleep in the dream and wake up to a fox or wolf in front of me. (I don't think I die to them either, as I play with em in my dreams too)

yea i have had slight control but its usually very little, there was a few where i was like jumping/ flying through the air of my own will but i lost control after i got to excited then woke up.

I have also had sleep paralysis where the dream us so realistic i wake up and wonder if I'm dreaming or if i'm really in my room and i had to get up and walk around and i usually end up staying awake cause that sh*t is scary as f*ck
