Tsundere? Yandere? Big/little sister/brother? Misunderstood genius? Total b-hole with no redeeming qualities but everyone loves? Also, if you could change that character's body type to suit your tastes better, (height, bust, face, etc..) would you?

Post your favorites, or favorite combination of traits, preferably with names and pictures!
(I'm also looking for new shows)

The one who is always unperturbed who holds back his/her power. And then when he/she gets serious, you know things are about to go down.

The character who has a different personality and, in most cases, that other personality is like a million times stronger.

Thats like 3 threads in 1, anyhow.

Tsundere's, calm collective male leads, While not into the bro/sis cons i do love Akiko she's hysterical on how much she tries to get her brother.

Of course then theres Yuudachi, Teekyuu type characters which just crack me up to no end.

I wouldn't change anything about any except for some of the more violent tsundere's into a little less violent.

^^^ This. I love when they get serious, and I can cackle behind my screen and laugh about how 'ohhhh, now you done made him mad.'

The Blood Knight. For those who don't know, a Blood Knight is a character who lives for fighting. They're usually berserkers who ignore their injuries as they continue their onslaught, invoking fear in their opponents from how they seem like immortal demons. No matter how powerful or seemingly invincible an enemy is, a Blood Knight only sees it as a challenge.

The best part is that all kinds of characters can be this archetype and another.

I can't even argue with that.

Someone that gradually opens up, not necessarily a Tsundere , but someone that comes out of their shell , male or female, and comes into their own, so-to-speak. I suppose something similar to a coming-of-age story, but not exactly. Things about a char finding themself, or becoming better, because I can relate to wanting that, I guess.

I don't really know. I like all types of characters.

These are some of my fav characters, and I don't believe they have anything in common (other than the obvious fact that some are the same gender or from anime lol)

_______________

I suppose it all depends on how they contribute to the story and what they bring to the table itself. Rather than what archetypes they are.

I'll talk about Komugi, because she's the one character that made the story in HxH really magical... for me. And it fits the motif of the story itself so well.... you know, this guy Ging, he abandoned his son since birth to pursue this hunter dreams.

And early in the series, you can hear his son, Gon, saying something along the lines of, "My dad was willing to abandon me to become a Hunter, so being a Hunter must really be amazing" that he wants to become a Hunter himself.

So how does this character Komugi contribute to that motif?

Well, she is very unique... and her character caused events to become chaotic and unpredictable, yet at the same time, the chaos abruptly turned into this beautiful friendship/I've met my soulmate kind of thing.

And then at the end of the anime, the very very last lines in the last episode, Ging said something along the lines of, "It's not about the end of the journey that matters, it's about the people you meet in the journey"...

And I'm just like, omg... that resonates so well with me... it's like I wanted to pack a bag and go on adventure right there and then, and meet all kinds of people like Komugi, Killua etc... the people that Ging's son met along the way as a professional Hunter.
