Tsunderes... yanderes... Genki Girls...Dojiko...Dandere... overly shy girls... cat girls... nerd girls... loli's... meganekko... toiken lesbian... Yamato nadeshiko... otaku chick.. bossy bitch

There's so many different kinds of anime girls. If I had to pick from the archetypes... I'd either go with maybe... I'm not sure. Shy girls are cute. Yandere's are interesting to me. Yamato Nadeshiko girls are great in my opinion, call me sexist if you want to.... ehh... loli characters are cute I guess. I can't pick...

I guess I'll go with Genki girl who's also a Dojiko.. a clumsy and energetic girl. Like Yui from K-on

But you know what I really like... unique characters who don't fall into archetypes.

The muscular tomboys... with a gentle side they don't like to show except to their most treasured companion.

I generally like kuuderes, but really I can dig just about any character archetype that is done well.
But if I had to choose, a mild mannered white haired cat/fox/wolf/dog girl would be my favorite.

The overly exaggerated Fujoshi's are just hilarious.

Me too, I tend to really dislike genki girls. I'm pretty mellow so overly energetic and excited people get on my nerves.

I know right? I mean, overly excited characters may be cute to watch for like 20 minutes since thats how long an episode lasts, but the thought of being in some sort of relationship where you have to bear with their personality for hours every day makes me cringe. Their overly high pitched voices don't help either.

I have no idea what name would be used to classify my favorite female character. Snarky would probably be a good English word.
My favorite female characters are competent, sort of snarky, and call people out for being idiots. Examples would be Genkai, Yuko (xxxHolic), Rita (Rage of Bahamut), and most recently the pirate captain from Yona. For some reason, they rarely ever let a younger female character have that sort of personality.

Ah, we've found a point of agreement. Or, at least somewhat. I'm fine with archetypes, but they need to be explored and experimented with. Don't just rinse and repeat.
