Post Reply Deleting my account to cancel membership?
Posted 3/19/15
I've been having the problem of Crunchyroll charging money from my Paypal account for 3 months and contacted the site staff about it a while ago. They’re trying to help, but I have no idea on how much progress is being made or what’s going on. This may seem rushed, but I would like this bit of stress off my back before I get charged again. At this point I don't even want to have an account on this website, but I don't know if deleting the account would cancel my connections to it or if it'll just keep charging my account without me being able to do anything to cancel it.

I don’t even have a membership on my account and just got charged again. The transaction doesn't show up on my CR account, and this is the only account that I have. I checked my account, and I had removed my Paypal as my payment method months ago. [I haven’t been a member of this site since June, 2014] All the transactions show up on my Paypal, a total of $27.80 charged since Dec 19, 2014.

This was in the e-mail I was sent when the automated payment happened again.

So apparently this was started by the 2-week free trial thing and hasn't stopped.

My question is just as the title states. If I delete this account, will Crunchyroll be disconnected from my account? If someone else has had this problem or knows how to deal with it, advice please? This is something I feel like could be handled easily by staff, but it hasn't been and I just want it to be over.

You should be able to turn off your automatic Paypal payment authorization here after logging in:

Looks like you have 2 accounts. One on your PC that you are currently posting with, and another on what is likely a phone. The email used for the latter account starts with an 'f'. Just log into that one to disable future payments.

Thank you so much. I just canceled the payment. At this point, I don't even care that I'm not getting my money back. I should have come here first. I'm just glad that I have one less thing to worry about.
