Music box...

well, I only see myself listening to it when I need some really quiet, somewhat pseudo-like depressing alone time. Staring outside the window, where the outside is cloudy and boring. The wind barely seeps in and pushes this embroidered sheer curtains.

Then, looks at the nearest bed. Its color is somewhat resembles a pile of leaves saluting the last days of fall.

Things add up. Gets drowsy.

Only thing to do is to sleep.

And sleep I shall.

When there is a music box slowly unwinding, it is easy to think of a sepia world, to slow the flight of time and focus on small things nobody looks at anymore. Actually, don't focus on them. Allow yourself to notice them.

The beam of sunlight streaming through the window, the sluggish warmth of the room that washes over you and eventually includes you, a wooden floor neither too hot nor too cold, the particles of dust that swirl in the rays, light and shadow's interplay.

One of these days, sleep in late, wake up without an alarm. Turn off the computer and silence the phone a while and just lie down alone in a quiet room with just the sound of the music box and of your own breathing. Set the music box down near you instead of cradling it. Don't think. Listen. Doing nothing can be very enjoyable.

A moment like this is easily within reach. Quite therapeutic.

Interesting selection from Disney's "Song of The South".
