I'm always left feeling like I want more. But, just like great books, tv shows or comics I can always re-read and re-watch.

Well, my dad used to work in the defense industry, so I have been jumping from Air Force bases throughout a good chunk of my childhood, So I can say from experience that its a feeling similar to when you have to say goodbye to your friend who you know you will probably never see again. So I guess a longing? I don't know.
Last time I felt that was the end to Samurai Champloo. I honestly felt like I just lost some important friends that were dear to me after it ended.

Depression is probably the best word. I was sad for days after HxH ended.

Victory Gundam and Stella too. Those endings hurt my soul.

I hate that feeling so much! I'd say that it is emptiness from bonding with the characters and watching them succeed and fail throughout the anime.

I call it the void, it needs to be filled with more good anime to be satisfied.
