Exactly. I tried it and nearly fell off the treadmill.

Not to mention its hard to pay attention to what is going on in the anime when you are really pushing yourself. Hell, even turning my music all the way up I couldn't hear anything whenever I'm trying to max out.

Hmm, there are some good thoughts (and humor! ) here. Thanks everyone!

Recommendations? Hmm Yowamushi Pedal works really good especially if you're cycling. I agree with the guy who said Dragon Ball since you are watching DBZ. Continue on to GT even maybe? Those 2 together make up a ton of episodes.

I tried to get into Dragon Ball a while ago, but I just couldn't. It's fine for what it is, but... it's a kid's show. And I never saw the kind of inspiring, hardcore training you get in DBZ. Idk what GT is like, but I haven't heard too many good things about it. I might give it a try. Yowamushi Pedal sounds interesting though! I'll certainly keep that in mind.

OP, the best anime to get you pumped up is Hajime no Ippo.

I was wondering about that. I'm not normally into boxing, but I've heard a lot of good things about Hajime no Ippo. Plus, anime has a way of making everything 10x more epic than in real life, so I think I'll be okay.

I've started watching Toonami on the bike or treadmill, though usually I don't make it past One Piece.

I've done it before, but it was too distracting for me, so I watch Anime first, then go exercise.
