So it's almost 3:30am right now in good ole' Cali, and my neighbors are blasting their music like it's 3pm. It's not bothering me, because I'm trying to sleep (although I am sleep deprived). Nah, I'm watching Gintama right now. My parents however, I'm pretty sure they're trying to sleep, and for that, the music bothers me. I'm at 10% if you remember that temper thread.

Instead of actually doing something about it, I'm just gonna ask if ya'll Crunchyrollers have gone through this as well. So, have you experienced a similar situation? Does it bother you? How do you handle it?

They're playing that anaconda song as I type this ahahaaaaaaa

wear earplugs...

it might not eliminate the noise completely... but it can help... along with closing windows... hiding under a thick blanket... etc.

I am so sensitive to noise recently, I'm at the front room, closest to the street, and whenever someone starts their car... I get woken up. like my neighbour goes to work at 4am... and I couldn't sleep. I get so annoyed. and another neighbour doesn't come home until 11pm or something.

and then there are stupid little kids with their stupid toys on the concrete...

The walls are paper thin and I don't have earplugs, so under the blanket I go haha.

In general, I'm pretty sound sensitive too, but it sounds like you have more to deal with than I do. I feel bad for ranting.

At my locale,( no, not a nursing facility), there is a noise ordinance that is strictly enforced. So unless you want to spend a lot of time with the men/women in blue,(and who doesn't?) you keep your music down .

I would call the cops personally, disturbing the peace. Noise ordinance laws and all that.

Just wait until someone ELSE does something to stop the music.

That might work if I lived in a DIFFERENT neighborhood. People never listen to the cops here. They'll turn it down not even for 15 minutes, and crank it back up.

I'm sure they don't know haha. They're not the type to easily reason with, plus they're drunk. I can hear them shouting in between songs.

Ah maybe not so safe to do so then, we had a old couple that used to play the rolling stones far far too loud in the flat below us a few years back they were mortified when I went round to ask them if they could turn it down a little. I think their hearing was going (which may also be related to the music) and they didn't realise how loud it was. The following day my partner walked in with a bottle of wine they left on your doorstep as a apology. they were kinda awsome tbh I hope I can rock out that well in my 70s.
