Hello fellow Crunchyroll members,

I am in search for an anime club in the southeast Michigan area. I love discussing anime and culture expanding my mind listening to others opinions and then debating with them. I tried searching for anime clubs in Michigan, but none showed up that are still active.

My question is how do I find an anime club? Where do I look? And if needed how do I start an anime club?

Thanks!!

I see that OU has a couple "nerdy" organizations on campus. In any case, I'd suggest starting your search at nearby college campuses and local libraries.

Oh! Yay! Something I have experience with! One of my close friends and I started an anime club in the small town we live in because, well, there was nothing around. So firstly I'd recommend looking to make sure there aren't any other clubs. If not, go to your local game/hobby store and see if they'd let you start meeting there. This works if you want to start a discussion group about with home viewing sessions. If you want to do viewings at the club, then contact Crunchy or Funi about what they'll let you show publicly. Usually they're pretty chill about that sort of thing (it is free advertising after all). Alternatively, if it's just a couple friends, you can do a private viewing at one of your homes and just chill and watch. An anime club is alot of fun and you meet so many new and fun people! It's definitely worth investing your time into.

Me and my friends just had our computer teacher approve of us meeting in his classroom.
Besides having the computers to watch anime, we luck'd out because he had a huge T.V.
Next thing I know other people start showing up and we get called the anime club. Fun times!
With some great people you can start your own. Good-Luck!
