I prefer reading series over 40 episodes.

I am currently split on my love for both anime and manga.

Some stuff I prefer as a manga because its uncensored, but some stuff is better with voices and animation.

Why is this in the poll section with no poll?

Story Wise i prefer manga, art wise i prefer anime due to color/sound.

I have moved it to Anime for now.

On-topic, personally I'm for either, it really depends on the quality it's made in and how well it follows the original's storyline.
For some titles I've even gone and scrapped both formats in favor of the Light Novel.

I prefer watching the anime. I know the manga is supposed to be better in most cases, but I really like watching animation on tv. Ya know, the colors, the movement... yeah, it's probably because I'm a pothead. But, hey, it's awesome!

It differs.

Like Kuroko No Basket I prefer the anime but things like Gantz and Btooom I will only read the manga after seeing one or two episodes.
Then it will differ especially when I know the story is completely diffrent between the anime and manga like RahXephon or Yu-Gi-Oh.
Sometimes the manga will have art that will make me stop reading because it's horrible and lazy FLCL and HxH and I'll just stick to the anime for those.
I use to read manga more instead of watching the anime because it was quicker and less fillers but their aren't so many fillers anymore so I usually get to the manga after a bit after I see the series. Unless the series isn't out yet.

Anime. However, if given the option, I'd choose the light novel over both.

Manga is almost always the best but is that not always been the case of literature vs big screen? Its especially prevalent when you think of just how character heavy some of these series can be - its hard for everyone to get screen time in 12 episode runs which often cover several volumes where the anime drip feeds the reader all of these bigger casts whilst giving them a more detailed level of character development.

I once preferred to read mangas; but i find myself skip through pages nowadays and rarely reading any text. I find Animes more interesting.

I prefer anime because it's an activity I can share with others. I watch most things together with my husband. Some things I watch with my kids. I enjoy it more that way.

It depends. I tend to prefer the anime, with a few exceptions:

1) Excessive ecchi-ness: If I can't watch it with my family, or at least with my family hanging around, that makes it harder to find time to get through a show. (My wife already associates anime with porn--I'm trying to disabuse her of that notion, not reinforce it!)

2) Depth. If the anime doesn't finish the story, or skips too much, then I'd rather read the whole thing than watch only part of it.

3) Sexual assault: I find these scenes extremely off-putting--but in a manga, it's easier to skim or skip frames that I don't want to imprint on my brain. Seeing them animated is more traumatic, and fast-forwarding through them is much clunkier.
