Trigger Abuses are Cringeworthy

Apparently, some believe clapping triggers severe anxiety. Some believe there should be a ban. This is beyond stupid, IMO. Just one example of countless instances of trigger abuse. I theorize that many people have Munchausen syndrome or merely crave attention.

I think acknowledging all triggers and trigger warnings is idiotic. Not even veterans with actual disorders demand trigger warnings or talk about what triggers them all the time.

What do you guys think about the issue of trigger abuse by our beloved social justice warriors? Are trigger claims predominantly fake and only demanded by attention-seekers? Is there any point in putting a trigger warning anywhere?

I was thinking "OK, who keeps fingering the bang switch with their boogerhooks and had another AD"

Turns out I was completely off.

Fuck these kids and their issues. You don't get a trophy for being a weepy pussy.

this feels like the tumblr skeletons at their finest.

if you tell me in a serious manner that something triggers you without an actual diagnosis to back it up, I'm going to keep saying it to your face.

they probably didn´t want to make an issue out of it, but given that hat body represents all students in the uk, not only moronic feminazi´s, I am sure the insane shit in the article won´t pass public voting. If it does , that says only something about the apparent morons making up most of the conference visitors, in turn indication the vast majority of (mentally sane and stable) students don´t feel it´s worth their time, meaning whatever they ´decide´ will simply be ignored by everyone.

Nothing to see here, people, move on. Just insane people being insane. Giving them attention can only lead to more breaths being wasted on these crazy BS motions...

It's crazy, but the thought of an audience doing jazz hands to represent praise is bloody hilarious.

I don't even use tumblr and I've had people tell me I need to use spoilers and trigger warnings before posting photos related to insects.

My response *attaches gif*

When it comes to spider complaints my thoughts always jumps to peacock spiders, even if they are too ridiculously adorable to be considered even remotely hideous. I just see them waving their spider colors loud and proud. =p

Not seeing this as a big deal. They're perfectly within their rights to accommodate for those who have panic disorders at their conferences and general meetings if it so pleases them. Why shouldn't they?
