Helllllooooo Crunchyroll!

We're excited to announce that Crunchyroll will be attending Anime Boston next weekend in Boston, MA. We'll be hosting a huge booth in the exhibitor's hall (booth 309), as well as tons of panels, exciting announcements, and the CrunchyLounge, a new feature for Crunchyroll conventions!

We'll also be working with our friends at NIS America to talk about the Lull in the Sea dub and The Awakened Fate Ultamatum. All weekend long we're giving away tons of prizes and memberships, so stop by our stage!

Our panels will be at the following times and places:

Working in the Anime Industry - Friday 6:30pm, Grand Ballroom (Sheraton)
Crunchyroll Industry Panel - Saturday 2:00pm, Panel Room A

We're also super excited to announce that the popular J-Pop singer LiSA will also be making a special appearance at our stage on Friday!

We'll be having a special karaoke contest at 12:30pm on Friday, April 3 at the Crunchyroll booth if you want to try your hand at singing LiSA's famous song for Sword Art Online, "Crossing Field", in English! Check below for the lyrics to practice before the event!

2 winners will each be receiving a prize pack courtesy of Aniplex of America and Sony Music Japan, so loosen up those vocal cords! LiSA will then be coming on our stage to answer some questions specifically from our Crunchyroll Premium+ users, so for all you Premium+ LiSA fans out there, post a questions you want LiSA to answer and we'll be picking 5 to present to her at Anime Boston!

As usual, we'll be having our Crunchyroll Livestream there all weekend as well, so stop by, say hi, and hang out! For those of you at home, join in on the fun at www.crunchyroll.com/live! It would be nice if you could've given a bit more notice on conventions you planning on attending... I'm not much of a con goer, but part of that is because I don't know when they are and who all(company wise) may be attending and if I want a weekend off I need to give a few weeks notice... So Please next time could you give viewers a couple of weeks notice and not for just this con but all, as I'm sure there are others that may be in similar position or happen to lose track of time and forget that a con is coming up in their vicinity.

We're ramping up to our convention season, where we'll be making monthly posts like we did in January for all the cons we'll be in full force at the following month.

I am losing my interest in the Spring Season already ! / I will get back into it but No thanks to CR / FUNI and whoever streams shows! Nothong personal but it is lousy how you treat us. I been watching anime a very long time and respect all the viewing choices / but you want to be cutting edge dont hold annoucements back gives us some idea!

I have done so much pre-show research myself / but with the closenees and the lag is just getting old!

First I know you have to go by the TV schedules in Japan then the whole licensing / production conmittees / lawyers / sterminng bidding / etc.

IMO times have chandes a lot of fans do not like this process no more. We pay for subs and everybody takes us for granted!

I blame the whole anime industry for this charade every season!

I'll watch the shows / but no thanks this time around!

BTW a lot of us dont go to conventions but just want tpo watch anime / I know its important / fun to others but not onterested!

Apparently you're not interested in any of the four shows that represent almost four different genres of anime that Crunchyroll DID announce early this season, almost a week ago now and there's a still a week or more before they air. They really are trying to get shows earlier and earlier every season, as I see announcements for certain shows pop up quicker than the season before for all of the last four seasons and the one coming up. And it's not like they're holding back their announcements. They themselves have said that they sometimes don't know if they're getting certain shows until the last day before, or even the day of, that they air. Even if they do know, they might not know the territories and times for the shows until a day or two before they air. They want to present as much information about the show as possible once they do know, instead of posting half-information. I've been here almost six years now and have been paying for an anime, now premium, membership for almost three years. I'm happy with the variety of shows that are on here and we are getting more and more every season.

Please, if you have an issue with the way they do things, don't go speaking for everyone on here, because everyone doesn't share your opinion about this.

Let's see--it's on the other side of the country for me and in my bank account I have...about $35.

....

To everyone going, HAVE FUN!!

I'll keep an eye on things online (since all I really care about are the industry panels anyway).

Nothing personal but I kindly disagree with your take. But you just did the same thing you dont share everybody's else opinion either There are others who feel like I do. go and read the forums the complaints are coming out !

BTW I think you took a lot out of context. I took the whole anime industry and this out of date process to task. Where did I say CR only, It is there in Black and white! I also listed the reasons / excuses / crutches the anime industry uses!

Yes I want change ! Some in the industry do happen to listen to complaints I wont get into it but changes are occuring!

So since you want legalnese . There are a quite a few of us who dont like the seasonal clunky old fashioned way of doing the whole process! of Licensing / annoucements.

Could you imagine if they announced ones they are trying to get?

If they ever didn't get it, or not in a territory they said they were after, you'd probably have hordes in here calling them names like baby-killer and such.

It did sound like you expect CR to change this - which they can't.

And other than that last line (I've been very happy...), what BlackRose0607 said wasn't opinion- CR does try to tell us as soon as it's confirmed.

Also, why bring this up in an convention announcement, especially with your line about not going anyway?

I may stop by your booth again. Especially if you have a livestream camera like last year.

I lost my Fakku shirt though...so it won't be as fun. XD
