Every time a topic like this is started people list animes that aren't even on the site. I like Another, Parasyte maxim, Black Butler(not on crunchyroll), Akame Ga Kill, and others like those if it has deep meaning I dont want anything having to do with sports (I watch anime for the fact real life cant capture some moments like this) and has to have some action or suspense I read raising a boring girlfriend and I automatically think....boring.

Tell me why I should keep this subscription with such a mediocre selection and forums which point users to other places of anime besides Crunchyroll I don't get it.

If there is a better site of anime selection and entertainment, let me know so I can sub there please, thank you for your time.

This site don't have everything but it's still the best. And paying for a sub you're doing what a fan is supposed to do, support what they enjoy. However it's normal to watch some shows through other means.

The selection is good. I don't mean to be that guy, but if you like Akame Ga Kill, it's hard not to like anything else.

What are the other means usually? Hulu? Youtube(i hear most of that is illegal)? I just wantr to watch anime shows I love in one convenient place (like all the Gundam series). You would think Crunchyroll would want to blow your mind on its anime selection depth and updates (its great with the updates and simulcasts)

It wasn't my favorite but I liked the twist it had with the empire being completely out of whack of what you thought it was. Just trippy stuff like that. That it was able to pull some Game Of Thrones strings and kill off main characters that added to the depth and emotion to the series.

Some other stuff are on Hulu, Netflix is also coming along in the Anime department, it's not illegal to watch stuff on there. I can't watch Hulu as I don't live in US but I heard it's not good and filled with ads. You could get Netflix though because it's generally good.

For other shows, you can either go on those random crappy sites in potato quality which is illegal (and a waste of time in my opinion), or just torrent in better quality and if you enjoy it buy it on bluray or something. Most people do this anyway, you just can't help but torrent some shows sometimes, as long as your supporting at the same time, I see no problem.

As for shows on here, Attack on Titan (if you haven't already) is a must watch. No Game No Life is really fun to watch if you haven't already. I hear Fate/Stay is good and it looks real nice to.

Personally I watch CR more than Hulu because while yes it has a smaller selection it also has no ads. Was watching a drama on hulu and literally every 10 minutes had to sit through 2 or 3 ads before my show started back up.

Funimation has a good selection. A lot of stuff requires a subscription though. Its only ~$3/month if you don't care about dubs though.

I have seen Attack On Titan (sorry I didn't list I have seen a lot of anime) It IS one of my favorites and I cannot wait for season 2!!!!

I will definitely check out No Game No Life.

I have checked out Fate/Stay I am confused about the seasons which to watch first and the main character (the guy and his protector) disappoint me every episode.

It depends what genre you like. "Say I Love you" is another good one on here, even though the genre is 'Shoujo' which means aimed at girls, I thought it was pretty good lol. Just watch a few top 10s on youtube even. If you want to watch the best show ever made though, that looks amazing, has a beautiful soundtrack, is really meaningful with great character development, feeling like you've been on a journey from start to end along with learning life lessons, a balance of humor / drama, it's too much to put into words, I suggest Clannad, then the second season being After Story.

Shoujo is in the opposite spectrum of my interests but if it really has that good of life lessons character development the like i will also give it a shot.

Random here I also liked Claymore, that was a good one with some twisting. I feel Tokyo Ghoul would be really good to watch but its not on Crunchyroll.
I have heard of Clannad I will give it a try, I really am into the darker scene with animes tho depending on my mood which is most the time into action suspense twisting guessing animes. Hard to describe I will try to find the correct genre term for it.

Looked up a rough genre list: Action/psychological/mecha-mechanical(Oh yeah I loved code geass) demon-action, Fantasy,Game (I like Sword Art Online- I don'tlike how the second season is a shooter but still want to give it a try)Mystery, Seinen(thats a good one from the description(I like cowboy bebop))Space, supernatural.

Sorry it looks all jumbled I took it from a list.

You should keep your subscription because you're helping the industry by using this website.

1/3 of all anime produced doesn't make it's money back, hence why you should use a legal service.

Here's a few other services that are legal;

"Say I Love You" is a more of a light, short show. Typical romance but still pretty good. If you're into darker stuff you might not like it at all actually. Clannad on the other hand, it's not all dark and action packed at all, it's more slice of life, everyday stuff, it follows a group of friends from school all the way up to when they leave out into the world, get their own places, jobs, and everything in between. This is a good review, just don't read comments etc to avoid spoilers - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8EZkHorPUmY, or just watch the show and prepare to be blown away lol.

I think term you might be looking for is 'Seinen' which is a genre, aimed at guys older than 18, so typically these shows will be more gory, touch on more subjects and stuff.

Here's a top 10 for example - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6BbvpweRSA

looked at animaxtv seems the only region to come close is UK so I chose that and see you have to be a member. But the shows Berserk(not on crunchyroll) looks really good, and Black Lagoon(also not on crunchyroll) C Control looks interesting...im going to stop saying not on crunchyroll because most shows aren't.

I see so many shows not on crunchyroll :(.DAIMIDALER looks good.

If i sub hulu won't it take away the adds?

If you're into darker stuff I'd suggest The Severing Crime Edge, Black Bullet and Dusk-maiden of Amnesia on here.

Daisuki doesn't charge for a membership and has Black Butler Book of Circus and M3 the Dark Metal which also fit into your likes.

There are many good titles that fit what you're looking for on Hulu (but you have to sit through about three 30 second blocks of commercials when watching there).

In answer to your question about all the shows in one place. Look at HBO, Cinemax, Starz, Showtime, TMC...have you ever seen the same movie on multiple channels at the same time? It's quite rare due to exclusive licensing, just like first run shows on regular network tv (you won't turn to ABC hoping to catch Gotham, Supernatural, NCIS or the Blacklist...you know other networks own the rights to them) Anime has many competing companies/channels/sites on the market. It's up to you to decide which has the most to offer you. I find the following true...

Crunchyroll has the best variety of family/general new subtitled anime plus a great back catalog of recent subtitled anime, manga and drama.
Funimation has an alternative style to new anime (both subbed and dubbed) usually of an edgier more adult-oriented style. The trade off is they only get about 1/3 as many new titles each season as Crunchyroll. Their back catalog (subbed and dubbed) is large and also skews more edgier/adult-oriented.
Daisuki has very little to offer but what they do offer is a few titles unavailable elsewhere.
Hulu/Hulu Plus offer many of the titles the other sites mentioned do but new animes run as much as a month behind, back catalogs are not complete for many series that also appear on Crunchy/Funi and thier back catalogue skews classic anime (90s/00s), many of which aren't available elsewhere.Hulu seems to currently have the largest back catalog but it isn't the place to watch new anime plus you need to sit through commercials. The other upside is unlike the other services mentioned Hulu offers a large number of OVAs and Anime movies.

Each service has their own strengths and weaknesses just like tv networks themselves.
