But the reality is, no human on this Earth are a saint, we're monsters that treat animals cruelly; whether to satisfy our own vanity or for our own benefits. We love to delude ourselves into thinking we're good people as long as we follow moral guidelines set by other humans... but the reality is we're just a bunch of monsters.

Funny after finishing the anime Parasyte, they touch base a bit on this as human does everything for our own benefit (for the most part) since we're on top of the food chain.

Omg.

Parasyte is a masterpiece; truly discusses the nature of humans and how we're truly worse than the parasites themselves.

I like that part where Izumi was planning to let the parasite go, but then went back to kill it.

I have it on good authority from the anime Cat Planet Cuties that the ones abusing the cat girls were from the planet Doggia

They have a few ridiculous articles, e.g. this one and the Pokemon one where they say it encourage animal abuse. But just because they have 1 or 2 ridiculous articles out of thousands, it doesn't make their cause any less legitimate.

Their cause is to generate revenue and promote specific political agendas, hiding behind the facade of "animal welfare" and "animal rights". In doing so, they both demean humanity as a whole and undermine actual animal welfare.

GayAsianBoy wroteIf you go to their website, they have a lot of good articles too (most of which are really propaganda), but the facts are there... their cause of fighting against animal testing and fur harvesting are good causes, and a lot of people don't realise the products they're using have been tested on animals.

People love to turn a blind eye to these things, and dub PETA as an insane organisation that spew bullsh.t.

It's time to stop deluding ourselves, and look at the reality.

GayAsianBoy wroteMy philosophy is... you can judge a human by how it treats other animals...

Judging a human by its actions is a good policy... if you use the correct standards to judge. PETA does not and their antics verify they are not trustworthy; it doesn't matter if they have a few good articles (a claim I doubt) on their website, it is foolish to subject yourself to the lies and propaganda trying to hunt them down. PETA isn't the only group with an eye towards the well being of animals... in fact based on their actions PETA isn't even a group concerned with the well being of animals.

'sexualization' is just a meaningless tumblr buzzword. I could look at the movie 300 and have a fucking field day about how us guys are sexualized but I'm not a moron and realise by simple biology being attracted to something is normal. So making that paticilur something more sexy / cute just compliments it, it's not a bad thing.

Also cat girls are not promoting anything except maybe a rush of blood in ones body due to cuteness, but that's it. The only people who abuse animals are people with psychopathic tendencies and will probably try and kill a person soon after. (Most seriel killers for example abused animals when they were younger)

I studied criminal Justice in college and that's exactly how a lot of serial killers start neighbor's cat. I don't think anyone would sex up a cat bc of anime that's an excuse a rather odd one but still what about Catwoman? Or cat costumes for halloween? Isn't it the same point? I think blaming anime for animal abuse is absurd if anything I'd think it promotes being friendly to animals really. Cat girls should just b enjoyed for what they are but hey just my opinion.

I find it difficult to take them seriously anymore, they could be doing so much good yet they consistently choose to focus on nonsense.

I don't know if this or the "woman blames patriarchy for her period picture being removed" news article is the more ridiculous one.

Still, better than hearing about Isis I guess.

Yeah, just about no one takes them seriously when they say stuff like that (from the tweet). I mean, they've gotten to the point where they pretty much parody themselves without even meaning to. That and they do extremist sort of things, so really, most people don't take them seriously and even hate them, and the sentiments "Fuck you PETA" or "Fuck off PETA" are the norm.

From what I'm reading, i don't think they have much power over anything. They're just writing articles that bring awareness on how animal related industries are treating animals, and making campaigns that bring awareness to those things.

It's hypocritical of Peta to use Twitter to voice their radical positions. They're abusing little blue birds. Won't you think of the little Tweeters?

No. I also haven't tried the KKK's website or the Westboro Baptist website.

Actually videos can lie; there are video hoaxes all the time. Whether it be through the complex like doctoring the image, the easy like knowing how to spin an image, or the middle road of staging a shot (and of course, nothing says one can't use a combination from the three). This... this shouldn't need to be explained to you.

They raise funds. They murder healthy animals. Both of these are established facts but you know what? I'm not going to ask you to trust me on that: research the organization for yourself and not through just their own website.
