I've moved this to Manga Support where staff is most likely to see it. As far as I know they are continuing to look at new manga to license. I don't know the details of what makes that a long process.

Viz media tends to get 90% of the digital manga out there, its also a relatively new thing thats only caught on in the last few years. But really it comes down to licensing. Viz Media has been known to be very stingy about their anime in the past and I'm sure it's the same with their licensed manga.

While I will like to use Viz media, I will have to buy every manga volume on the manga I have interest for me to know what is going on the new Issue. Meaning I will have to spend hundreds of dollars for me to make sense of what going on the story on the current Issue of jump.

i think it'll take a few years for the catalogue to rise.

when i first joined here for anime, there were barely any titles... like the only prominent titles were Naruto, HxH and Gintama...

but now there are a lot. don't they have to convince the publishers that hosting the manga on here would be beneficial? there's a lot of politics involved in that sort of thing...

I don't know how it exactly works but i think its a lot like Crunchyroll's manga stream. You pay a sub to be able to stream or whatever I think.
Im just stating thats probably the reason why Crunchyroll can't get as much digital manga.

They are completely different. You only get the current current Issue of jump, meaning unless something is new you have to buy the manga volumes or wait until they release a new manga volume of the series you want to read, to understand and be able to follow the story.

CR is different I can got back to individual chapters or the very beginning to no only follow the manga but to catch up to the manga.

I can't not do that with Viz media.

That fine and all but what I want to know is why it take so long with sir-cant series to be update.

Also I don't know if this possible a the moment but can they make a deal with some of the English manga companies ? Example, Seven Seas.
