okay i'm not even sure if people have even heard of this game but one day like 3 weeks ago i finally got my exotics and purple armor and i was ready to FINALLY try to do a raid. and someone asked "what are you going to do when you finish destiny.... i never thought about that but after the raid there would be no other reason for me to play. Then i picked up Warframe and it is LITERALLY Destiny with ninja aliens, you get all the looting, farming, gear, and grinding of Destiny but get this the game is Free. Has anyone tried Warframe here what do you think? and more importantly has anyone here tried Warframe that has also played Destiny??

I played Warframe and I have Destiny for the 360. Destiny is fun but since I have no one to really play with that I know well it got boring and I stopped playing. Warframe was basically the same thing with the exception that the time needed to get a new suit was(probably still is...) ridiculously long. So that turned me off of it a bit too. I really wanted to be able to try out the other types of suits on warframe but I didn't want to spend money or wait that long to try them out. The limited variety they give to choose from didn't seem to work very well for me.

Those two points are the same thing i was wondering as far as friends for Destiny here is a trick i learned. You only really need to look for people to help with The raid or Nightfall (those things don't have match making) but i go to (reddit.com/r/Fireteams) people go there to look for groups to help or offer help for missions i use it a lot because i have NO friends that play any video games i play :'3

As far as trying the warframes. Here is something i realized You just gotta GRIND!!!! like a maniac or like someone that likes Destiny. OR here is the trick if you REALLY want to have a warframe you can pay money to instantly have it. This makes it so that if you like the grind and dont wanna pay you can make it or if you don't have the patience you can just buy all the pieces and junk. I don't think there is anything that you can't buy with Platinum in warframe That's actually something that would be interesting for Destiny (The ability to just pay for a weapon, but it's also kinda poop because i prefer working for my things lol)

Well it wasn't really about finding help in the game for Destiny. I just find it hard to have fun in a game like that when I can't have friends to joke around with and finding people online to group with...I don't know. I don't really get comfortable with people easy and so it pretty much stays at just helping with stuff and doesn't really add to the fun like an actual friend would.

I know you have to grind like crazy or pay real money for the frames as I mentioned neither of them appeals to me all that much. The real money part just because I don't have much to spend on just trying out a new frame. $20 per frame is what it used to cost at least and that much just to try something out that still might not be something I like? No thanks. As for grinding for it...that wouldn't be so bad if I actually could enjoy the time I spent grinding. I really don't like any of the three starter choices. To have to spend that much time just to have a chance at finding a frame I like and can have fun with, as like I said with the real money part it still might not be a frame I like, doesn't appeal to me much either. If there was some way to test run frames for a few missions to really get the hang of them and see if they are something I would like then it would be different.

I played Warframe when PS4 first came out. Played it for quite a while, sunk a lot of hours in. It gets to a point where getting new frames gets fairly easy, especially when they introduced the ability to trade platinum. I'd say it's one of the better F2P games I've played as the difference in power between paying players and free players isn't that big. By paying you just get everything a bit quicker and with work and trading literally everything is available to free players. Plus it's always getting updated. When I stopped playing they had just done a pretty major overhaul on the melee mechanics.

The reason I stopped playing was that while the maps are procedurally generated the rooms are all the same so at high levels the whole thing basically becomes a race to get to the objectives, which is fun for a while but gets pretty stale, or on defend/survive type maps I'd just rip out my invincible rage-monster valkyr which would only take damage for ~2-3 seconds in every 2mins or so and could crit for over 20k damage with each punch. I felt like I had beat the game, you know?

I've been playing Warframe since it's Closed Beta *shoves shiny exclusive cosmetic badge in your face* but my gaming PC broke about a month ago and I'm having trouble finding someone to fix it (I have no skill with technical stuff unless I can access Windows itself :S) so can I ask what it's like? How are relays and syndicates getting along?
