In regards to Clinton and Obama:
We need to analyze the situation beyond the fact that their minority characteristics will have benefits. Clinton being a female president may be to a disadvantage as well as an advantage. Obama's ethnicity may prove to be a disadvantage as well. We all should do some extensive candidate research and political/history/current affairs research to even have some comfortable opinions on who to vote for.

For the people who are against the government, party, or even the US; perhaps, you might want to do some thorough research as well. I don't verbally attack any culture even if I have an extensive, unbiased knowledge on it. Perhaps, verbally attacking a culture or society to change something isn't the smartest or moral behavior. No one likes to have their identity and culture insulted; so it's only going to create more conflict and animosity. Unless you are insulting other people and cultures for self-serving purposes. Then I don't think your words have much credibility.

I was just about to say something like that. They would need to be worried about getting assassinated by some extremist. But that's kind of off topic, so I'll get back on track. Yes it's an important issue, but we do have to fix some problems in the States before diving into the Middle East. No, we shouldn't ignore it completely, but we should improve ourselves. And hate to seem meticulous, but we should also be concerned with students who can't type with proper English. It was painful reading that first post.

dont you mean:

"And I hate to be meticulous"?
