I was reading the Forums somewhere and someone wrote a topic stating Naruto was ending in 2014. I'm wondering how can that be? I mean there are a lot of possibilities that Naruto can still go on? Can someone explain?

The Naruto manga already ended in 2014. However, the anime is ongoing and the will be a short spin off/sequel manga published in Shonen Jump.

I haven't read the manga. I was wondering if the manga was ahead of the anime?

the anime is an adaption of the manga, so yes.. the manga is ahead.

Any anime that is adapted from the manga, will always be behind the manga.

from my understanding it was only part 2 of the manga.

most manga are ahead of the series, the series is an adaptation of the manga in most cases. there are usually alot of filler episodes in naruto because it needed to give the manga more time to create content.

the anime will last for atleast few more years, the anime is supposed to go further than the manga only due to its success. it may or may not go well and end sooner than expected.

normally when anime are back to back with a manga, the manga is usually 20-30 chapters ahead. depending on series its usually 2 to 3 chapters an episode. but i believe naruto was about 60 or so when the manga ended. i haven't seen naruto in over a year so i am not sure where it is at. there is probably 20 episodes of naruto left, but there will be plenty of fillers inbetween and after i am sure.

Did you read my comment? An anime adapted FROM a manga will not be ahead of the manga. If the anime catches up the manga, then thats were filler comes in so the manga can once again, be ahead of the anime or they pull an akame ga kill, and make an anime original ending.

You cannot adapt it from a manga, unless its been written... this is why manga is known as a "Source material", because it is the source from which the anime is created.

A manga written after the anime, is an adaption of the anime (for example, kill la kill)

Naruto Manga has already ended, the anime is probably going to end in about 6 months once they get past the current filler arc. There was a movie released that concludes the story of Naruto.

Yeah, i read your comment. And it's not 100% true. An anime adapted from a manga will not always be behind the manga. Example, Soul Eater Not! The anime went past the manga and concluded before the manga concluded in the same, or extremely similar fashion as well. Even though things like don't often happen, it's not impossible. There are other examples, but i don't feel like looking back.

So again, not true.
