I use Crunchyroll because I can direct people to it for anime without having them worry about legality. The money is inconsequential ,and well within my disposable income.

Lol given the fact of how low priced crunchyroll is, I doubt you will save very much money.

Why not buy cheaper food brands instead? that will really save you money..

the 6-10$ you spend on crunchyroll every month really isn't that much..

As much as I love anime I don't mind spending $60 a year.
Not only does CR offer anime, manga and drama, but also a great place to discuss (forums), and news to keep me informed.

Even if you are a "free member" of CrunchyRoll, advertisers pay CrunchyRoll every time someone watches an ad. So you are still helping the anime industry by being a "free member" of CrunchyRoll. The more popular a site is, the more that site can charge advertisers as well. So CrunchyRoll needs it's "free members" just as much as their "paying members".

Its not about making up my mind its more along the lines of "Why should one continue" as opposed to "why should I continue", although Im keen for someone to make a valid point that would keep me in this community as I enjoyed being part of watch Crunchy had to offer, however at the premium it seems to not be worth it.

Ah. While other posts have already answered the matter well enough, I'm just gonna add in my two cents.

If you enjoy it here, then stay. Sounds like you want to leave because... what...? There really isn't anything we can say to make you stay, or for you keep your premium membership. Like others have said, the choice is yours.

Now, I will say that those other sites are most likely not legal, but you never know. Going on the assumption that they aren't, their translations, if you use subtitles, are played by ear. Crunchyroll, on the other hand, is given a script to work with (at least to my limited knowledge). The same goes from the other legal streaming sites. What this means is the likelihood of Crunchyroll giving out a quality translation are higher than the ones who don't have access to such resources, localized or not. Other factors obviously come into play, such as the experience of the translator, etc. but there's one possible reason for you.

Other than that, I got nothing.

You never know. His circumstances could have him tight on money to the point where he has to save every penny and then some. This is true of myself, for example--hence the reason why I cancelled mine after a time (plus I have really no need for the benefits; 480p is great quality for me and I don't mind waiting).

it all boils down to whether you are willing to sacrifice a bit (time and /or money) to support the industry a bit, or
if you'd rather just watch the episode in high quality as soon as they become available.

the video quality "elsewhere" is at least as good as CR, and possibly better, if you know where to look.
subtitle quality in CR is fairly consistent and accurate for the most part, while fan-subs can vary in quality (and can be cringe-worthy at times)
